Jacksonville, FL- Heading on the road for a key divisional game that could have implications down the road for the rest of the season Coach HoodIII was obviously concerned with a opposing Coach in Dmass who knows your game inside and out. Titans came into this game with the same approach they have had for most of the season play some solid bend but don't break defense and make some plays. That philosophy would pay dividends with 2nd year QB Blaine Gabbert helping the cause. While at times he made throws that showed the potential he has the Jaguars were not able to overcome the continous mistakes throughout the game throwing a game high 6 interception with 4 going to CB Verner of the Titans. One would think that this game would have been a blowout but the inconsistent passing game came back to haunt Tennessee on 3rd down conversions despite have a 17-0 lead going into the 2nd half. With a great combination of mixing up the run and pass Jacksonville stormed back to make it a game with little more than a minute left in the game Gabbert made his last mistake of the game that cost them a chance to either tie the game and send it into OT or even win the game. Final score 17-14 Titans.
