Nashville, TN -- It was a very ugly game for the Tennessee Titans, and for both teams in all actuality. The Jaguars came out of the gates dominating on defense. The Titans entered this ball game as the overall #2 D in the league, but if you had not known that you would have thought it was the Jags D that was so highly regarded. They put pressure on Geno Smith and the Titans offense shutting down every passing lane available. The Jaguars, on the other hand, came out of the gates firing on all cylinders to start the game. They marched right down on the Titans D, who would eventually be able to stop the Jags in the redzone after a 5 minute opening drive. The Jags were held to a field goal there and took a early 3-0 lead. The Titans would finally answer in the second quarter when Smith found WR Jamarcus Seymour from 15 yards out and a 7-3 lead. Back and forth we went as both defenses were able to hold the opposing offenses in check for the rest of the first half and most of the second. The downfall for the Jags in this game, and I'm convinced the only reason Tennessee was able to pull it out in the end, was QB Ryen Irwin's horrific performance. Irwin just couldn't get in a grove and wound up throwing 5 interceptions on the day. None bigger than the one on the Jags final drive. He looked downfield with just under 2 minutes to play, but Titans DB Jason McCourty stepped in front and picked it off for the second time on the day. The play, however; could be a damning one for the Titans. McCourty was injured on the play and had to be carted off of the field. It may go down as his last play not only on the season, but in a Tennessee Titans uniform. To this point, both sides are reportedly far apart on a contract extension. X-Rays are scheduled for Friday morning and Titans nation will certainly have their fingers crossed! The final score in this one would be 17-10 Titans as they go to 10-2 on the season and will travel to NY next to face the Giants.

    Players of the Game:

DB Jason McCourty - 2 INTS, 4 Tackles

MLB Zach Brown - 2 INTS, 2 Tackles
