The Texans came to town, and this game lived up to the hype. It was a defensive game at best, with a little spark from offense at times. The Texans looked to have the upper hand in the first half, only allowing the Titans to grab a couple of first downs. Titans could not get much going on Offense. Mettenberger would drop back to pass over the middle on 3rd and 8, but outstanding Rookie Linebacker Jadeveon Clowney would snatch it out of the air before TE Delanie Walker could grab it.

Texans would drive down the field inside the redzone but the Titans stout defense would only allow 3pts.

Later in the 2nd quarter the Texans would work down the field again, and yet the Titans defense would make another stop. Texans settle for another field goal.

After halftime the Titans forced a 3 and out. Mettenberger would shine on this possession, capped off with Rookie Halfback Bishop Sankey punching it in. This would be the first time the Titans took the lead. After the Extra Point, Titans would kickoff and 2nd string TE Taylor Thompson would make a excellent hit on the return man causing a fumble that would be scooped up by Marc Mariani. The Titans would again give it to Sankey for 6.

Titans later would add 3 more with very little time in the 4th.

Texans however were not giving up. They quickly marched down the field to put up 6 of their own, with 1min and 45 secs left. They would fail to convert on the 2pt conversion.

Here comes the onside kick. Titans would play it perfect with their hands team. Sankey took it up the middle only gaining one yard. Texans call timeout with one remaining and 1min 35sec on the clock. Sankey again up the middle gain of 3 yards. Timeout by Texans. Mettenberger would kneel on 3rd down, and Titans would take a delay of game penalty to leave just under a minute left. Titans punter Brett Kern would look like a pro putting the ball on the 1 yard line.

Texans had their hands full trying to move the length of the field with no timeouts, and 40 seconds left. Savage would complete a couple of passes, and the receivers were able to get out of bounds. After completing 2, 1s downs, and a couple of incomplete passes moving the ball to the 30yard line. Titans would not allowing any more movement as time expired.

    Titans win at home 17-12.

Rookie QB Zach Mettenberger has been impressive this season, but will need to improve his TD to INT ratio. His stats going into next week are 93 completions out of 144 attempts a percentage rating of 64.6%,he has thrown for 1,169 yards. and has 9 TD with 13 INT. His record since taking over Week 2, but missing Week 5 due to a minor injury is 5-1.

Good game. Looking back, I really am unhappy with my playcalling on both of my red zone trips. Gotta punch those in. See ya in a few weeks
