Here in my lovely home town local sports radio likes to call getting fired "working at the Citgo"

So with said I figure we could list coaches who have been fired that way we can have some kind of idea who might be a head coach candidate.

After 6 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, GM Cole Copeland has released head coach Mike Smith, along with the teams scout and trainer. After continually falling short at the end of the season and the worst record in recent history for the team this past season, Copeland decided it was time to start fresh with a new crew. It is rumored that Copeland will be looking for a head coach with experience and knowledge with the 3-4 defense but keep a balanced offense.

Midway through the season many thought Gary Kubiak would be out in Houston, but he rattled off a nice mid season win streak and nearly slipped into the playoffs. GM Kasper said in a press conference yesterday "Gary is our coach and he isn't going anywhere. We spoke when I joined this team and he knows what I expect; it is clear he can produce W's with this roster and we expect to make a serious playoff run next season."

There are whispers of a change to a 4-3 in Houston, but it is likely just hearsay and won't happen.

If you change to a 4-3 I'll take JJ Watt off your hands...

Part of the reason I want to go 4-3 is to make things even easier for him.

Titans Announce Firing of Coach Munchak

After back to back 6-10 seasons, GM and current owner Broth has decided to that the Tennessee Titans are going to go in a different direction and have announced that they plan to fire Coach Mike Munchak and his entire staff. After being forced into a spread offense and a multiple defensive front Coach Munchak was clearly hamstrung by new management and it was evident that the front office had plans to go in a different direction. In a prepared statement Owner Broth said "We wish Coach Munchak the best in his future endeavors. We might some decent progress as an organization under his stewardship, but a changing landscape of football requires a new direction and we hope to find the perfect coach and support staff to do just that. The people of Tennessee and Titans fans everywhere deserve better than 6 wins and with a new staff on board I think we will be able to do that."

Marvin Lewis out in Cincinnati after 11 seasons

    sadMarvinLewis.jpg

    Lewis stats:

    86-90-1
    2003-2013
    5 playoff appearances
    3 Division titles
    0-5 in playoffs

The Bengals have fired Marvin Lewis after a 7-9 season that witnessed a 5th playoff loss out of 5 trips. Lewis was 86-90-1 in his 11 seasons with the Bengals from 2003-2013, winning 3 division titles and 2 wild card spots. The Cincinnati ownership group lead by Danthraxxx was not available for comment, but league sources have reported that the group was less than thrilled by the record during the season and losing in the 1st round to a team that Lewis already beat during the season. Rumors have been swirling around the TMFL for weeks that Jimmy Johnson would be the prime choice as he has tons of experience managing a roster full of felons and drug addicts.

Tampa would have LOVED to fire Coach Greg Schiano but due to a fax error similar to the Elvis Dumbervil situation he will be in Tampa for one more year. (Aka I never saw the option to fire staff)

The only options I have under actions is "set ready to advance" maybe I missed it though. I'll double check tonight.

I just did nothing. The way I saw it, my staff was all still under contract.

McCarthy has a 25% scouting discount. Does anyone else have that perk? Or what do you guys have?

you can still fire staff by selecting X on the controller once you have them highlighted , I have had the perk in an off-liner but I forget the difference in SP it used.

Is that across the board? Because, if so, that's insanely powerful this year.

Can't remember Arians' bonus but I think it has something to do with QB XP.

My scout is stupid discount for scouting LE Power Moves (aka useless as one of my best players is my LE) and my trainer is awful.

I saw a free agent coach that said under scouting "offensive players"

Do they auto scout every offensive player?

I think it's just a 25 % discount on all offensive players kind of like..
