    "The Irish gave new meaning to the term two-minute drill, hammering the 'Noles into the ground with their 17-point outburst." (2:55 into the video)

    1993. This isn't even smack-talking, that was a hell of a game, period.

    :rolleyes::D

    LOL, I remember those ND games well. Perhaps we'll see another one in the near future.

    Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I can dream... ND is a LONG way away, and FSU looks like they are headed in the right direction. That would be a great thing to see, though, for sure.

    ND is going to surprise people this year, you watch. I'm normally not optimistic about my sports teams in general, but I'll be shocked if they don't win 9, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were in a BCS bowl (deserved or not) this year. USC is the only team on the schedule better than them, but I'm sure ND will still drop a game or two they should win. 2010 should be fun.

    Or at least that's how it works out in my dreams...

    I think you're being a little pesimistic, actually.

    Notre Dame is going to win the National Championship. And Touchdown Jesus is going to come to life and grant these glorious players eternal life.

    If this does not happen, it is only because the other team prayed harder.

    That is SUPPOSEDLY true, Dat. When is the last time ND developed any of their talent??

    If the Irish don't become dominant by the end of NEXT season, I quit -- I am becoming an Auburn fan full-time. Right now, I love the Irish and Irish only, but now that I have been playing as Auburn in another OD, thoughts are creeping into my head. Hopefully ND's play on the field can keep those thoughts OUT of my head for a long time.

    2005-2006. When they had solid, experienced talent, and a guy who can actually coach (at least offense) came around. Now they have outstanding, slightly less experienced talent. But obviously more experience than last year and light years from 2007.

    IMO, Weis blew it in 2007 and to a lesser extent last year by approaching those teams with the same complicated system he used in 05/06. That was his mistake. But I think things will come together this year. My biggest fear was that they'd never get over the confidence hurdle after 2 rough seasons. I'm really kinda hanging my hat on the Hawaii Bowl. Not that beating Hawaii is all that impressive, but they showed a lot of confidence and I think that will do wonders in the offseason.

    And for the record I take back my original post and now agree 100% with Razcal. ;)

    AMP, that was a freakin hilarious video. That is perfect for those of us that are football and war freaks like myself.
    As far as ND goes, I grew up an ND fan, live a couple hours from South Bend, my brother is a huge ND fan, and I am honestly just mentally worn out of the ND debate and trying to defend them and explain to people, especially my brother, that "next year" or "the recruiting class coming in" or whatever just isn't happening. WE NEED A REAL D-1 COACH. He doesn't have to be Saban or Carroll in recruiting, he just has to be decent as the University and program itself will do the rest. He does need to be able to motivate 20 year old kids, have a workable gameplan for cold midwest football, and be able to develop talent instead of causing it to regress. TCU, Boise State, Utah, BYU, anyone?
