Romo should be rated better than a few of the guys above him..
What's the list?
Aaron Rodgers: 99
Tom Brady: 98
Drew Brees: 98
Eli Manning: 97
Ben Roethlisberger: 95
Peyton Manning: 93
Philip Rivers: 92
Matthew Stafford: 91
Tony Romo: 90
Michael Vick: 89
I'd probably take Rivers, put him below Romo and move everybody up a notch. Otherwise this looks about right. I could also see the "Peyton should be moved down a bit considering he was hurt all last year and who know how good he'll really be."
I don't see how Vick is rated so high. Think Matt Ryan should be in that 10 spot. Actually put Ryan at 9, Romo at 10.
I agree with Rodgers being a 99 even though you can make a case for Brees and Brady for being a 99 as well. I disagree with Romo being behind Rivers and Stafford because Romo is better than both of them.
Vick, Stafford, and Romo aren't better than Jay Cutler...Maybe Stafford and Cutler are even, as well as Romo, but I don't think Vick should be in the top 10. Especially when he's most likely there on the SPD rating alone.
Vick and Romo are better than Cutler. Stafford and Cutler are about the same
Not sure if you are joking or serious...
Where is Cam Newton?! I would take Cam Newton over Philip Rivers IRL or on Madden anyday. Rivers is annually overrated. Maybe another 8-8, INT filled season will start getting people to realize how overrated Rivers is. Top 10?! Seriously madden?! Kick Rivers and Vick out of the top 10 and add Cutler and Newton.
Quite serious..How is Cutler better than Romo and Vick??
Romo should be 6 as he has been consistently better than stafford and rivers. You could put him at 7, but i would put him over manning as we don't know how manning will play coming off such a serious injury..
Yeah but its hard to put Romo over Stafford when Stafford threw for 5k yards last year. Stafford is a beast. Romo is underrated for sure though.
Nobody is giving Stafford respect. The guy threw for more that 5,000 yards, something Rogers, Manning, Romo, etc. has yet to do. And it was in his first full season. Not only did he throw for 5,000 in his first full season, he was a big part of turning a franchise from rags (0-16) to the playoffs. And people think Romo and Rivers should be up ahead of him? It's been 1 full season, can't imagine the things he will do with years to come. C'MON MAN!
yeah i just put long term success over 1 year of great play. Stafford doesn't bug me as much as people saying rivers is better. Romo puts up better stats and they have about the same playoff success, but romo gets blamed while rivers gets a pass.
Romo > Rivers. I dont think its even close. Rivers might be the most overrated player in the NFL IMO. Him and Vick can fight over that title.
Alot of qbs have 1 great season.. not many QB's also have megatron to lob passes to..
Phillip Rivers - 357/541, 66.0 Comp %, 4710 yrds, 30 TD's - 13 INT's, QBR = 101.8
Michael Vick - 233/372, 62.6 Comp %, 3018 yrds, 21 TD's - 6 INT's, QBR = 100.2
Jay Cutler - 261/432, 60.4 Comp %, 3274 yrds, 23 TD's - 16 INT's, QBR = 86.3
Tony Romo- 148/213, 69.5 Comp %, 1605 yrds, 11 TD's - 7 INT's, QBR = 94.9
Matthew Stafford - Hurt so much his stats from this year don't even matter!
Matt Ryan - 357/571, 62.5 Comp%, 3705 yrds, 28 TD's - 9 INT's, QBR = 91.0
Phillip Rivers - 366/582, 62.9 Comp %, 4624 yrds, 27 TD's - 20 INT's, QBR = 88.7
Michael Vick - 253/423, 59.8 Comp %, 3303 yrds, 18 TD's - 14 INT's, QBR = 84.9
Jay Cutler - 182/314, 58.0 Comp %, 2319 yrds, 13 TD's - 7 INT's, QBR = 85.7
Tony Romo - 346/522, 66.3 Comp %, 4184 yrds, 31 TD's - 10 INT's, qbr = 102.5
Matthew Stafford - 421/663, 63.5 Comp%, 5038 yrds, 41 TD's - 16 INT's, QBR = 97.2
Matt Ryan - 347/566, 61.3 Comp%, 4177 yrds, 29 TD's - 12 INT's, QBR = 92.2
So from what I take from this: Romo is not AS BAD as I thought. (But of course these stats don't include the un-clutch gene which we all know he has). Ryan is what I thought he was. A stank a** Dirty Bird, but accurate passer. (Should be in the top 10!). And Cutler, well whoever brought him up ...
Oh, and Rivers definitely deserves a spot in the top 10. Even though I can't stand the dude. But look out for his bro Stephen, currently QB at LSU in a couple of years!
Rivers is a jump ball thrower and nothing else
look at romo's 4th qtr numbers.. he's clutch the team isn't.
Rivers is going to look stupid without V Jax to bail him out this year.
