I'm hoping that everyone can get along in the TMFL. I got rid of most of the drama from last year. So, let's have a "get it out there" conversation.

What is going to push your buttons game play wise?

    ---

    I'll start:

My pet peeve is motioning a running back to receiver and throwing the ball immediately.

My biggest issues include when guys abuse the same play over and over again (like slants or flipping counters to the weak strong side in NCAA a couple years ago), or when guys run the same defense on every play and then complain about their opponent not 'mixing it up'. Mixing it up goes both ways in my opinion.

    Cutting back runs unrealistically.
Rolling out of the pocket with QB unrealistically.
    Blitzing almost every down.
Only using a few passing routes.
Forcing the ball to one player.
Usering LBs into the hole regardless of what coverage they're in.
Safety/Safeties playing inside 10 yards on almost every play.
Using motion and bunch formation to cross up the AI.
    Not mixing up playcalling.
    Excessive audibling/hot routing.
Throwing to routes out of the backfield regularly.
Only running inside or outside with the HB (not mixing up run plays/formations).
    Short punting.
    etc.

    Bouncing every run outside.
Rolling out with the QB on non-designed plays.
Constantly dropping back with the QB past 10 yards, especially on crossing routes.
Usering a MLB and making them another down lineman.
    Yoyoing of wide receivers.
Audibling as soon as it leaves the play call screen.
Putting best receiver in slot position and running slants/streaks all game with him.

You can't slant out in NCAA 13 / Madden 13...the hot route is gone.:)

PA under center on 3rd and 10
Throwing while up by 5 possessions
Usering a LB and shooting the gap no matter the coverage
Snapping and throwing before the QB even takes one step

Usering LBs into the hole regardless of what coverage they're in ( Shooting the gap/Running behind OL).
    I hate this the most
Safety/Safeties playing inside 10 yards on almost every play.
Um safeties lineup between 6-9 yards every play. Very rarely lining up outside of 10 yards

    Short punting.
This is gay and unreal but Shaun told me how to beat it

Starting a WR in motion and then motioning him back to his original position right after a couple of yards. Used to mess up CPU CB AI, especially if man.

No, safety's lineup between 12-15 yards off the LOS. They do this in Madden.

I'm talking about when someone shifts or manually moves the safety inside 10 yards on a regular basis even if they're not blitzing.

So basically they safety blitz or show safety blitz every play.

Idk 15 yards is super deep. Even 12 is very deep. Usually the FS is the deeper of the 2 safeties. With your SS being more of the extra run defender. I know Miami played Bell alot between 8-10 yards to help with that.

I play my SS at 7 yards every play. I want you to throw the ball deep on me.

But if this is gay I wont do that

Well since we're all sim here, I'm going to go with a pet peeve I've seen from some guys in the league.

    Draws on 1st and 10.

Drives me crazy. Draws are overpowered and should only be used (sparingly) in 3rd and long (5+) situations...

Not knowing what is going to be over-powered in this year's version of the game I'll stick to my basic motto.

    Don't cheese me to win.

Honestly if you feel the need to cheese you are in the wrong place IMO.

    wtf is short punting?

For me my #1 thing is running around like a dipshit with the QB. The AI just does not respond realistically so to say 'well Aaron Rodgers sometimes runs like 7 times a game' - IDGAF. This isn't the NFL, it's Madden, and my defenders respond to it like retards. 9 times out of 10, if I actually sprint towards the sideline with my QB, I'm throwing it away.

Ya the short punt is BS on MADDEN and NCAA. How do you stop it?

Using a TE as the main receiver. I understand some TE have good games and that is to be expected but to have them at 1,000 yards receiving, which has happened in TMFL this release, is ridiculous. If you have say a 90 ovr WR and you have a 80 ovr TE with more receptions and yardage, that's where I have an issue.

    1. Ghost ( thanks Shaun (y))
    2. Off set that has 2 WR on one side of field, but when in man a LB covers inside WR vs. a CB , then using audible to a slant or go route to roast my LB  ( thought I heard man would be a "best on best" scenario , thus this is of the past)
    3. Running outside soon as handed off on an inside run
    3. abusing the TE
    4. abusing the manual delay blitz with a LB
    5. Ghost
    6. Bidding on a FA just to drive up the price .... how the hell is that "SIM" ? SMH
    7. cap abuse ( spending big money on a star, but you have 38 guys on roster )

Can you be more specific on what you would consider someone would do to 'cheese you to win'? Not trying to troll you or anything, but something that drives me up the wall are when guys bitch every time they lost about something their opponent did that was 'cheesy'. I'd hope that this group could be above that and that everyone can focus on not being sore losers and looking for velveeta around every corner.

Firstly, I will go on record that I love Velveeta and make a mean mexican dip with it.

Cheesy to me is anything used intentionally to break the AI.
EA seems to fix some cheese and create other cheese every year.

In the past my most hated cheese was rolling the QB (without pressure on him or when the play doesn't call for it) out.
Throwing all the way back to the other side after rolling out (often to a receiver off the tv screen) is the worst version of this.

    I also don't like;

Defenses that use adjustments pre-snap to set up a nano type blitz or custom defensive play that breaks AI.

Offenses that hot route the receivers to create a custom play that breaks the AI.
