    Trade between Giants and Bengals

    Bengals send:
    Odom 85 29 (B)
    Briscoe 67 22 (B)
    Jeanty 75 28 (B)
    Palmer 53 27 (C)
    Ndukwe 77 26 (B)

    Bengals receive:
    Phillips 78 24 (B)
    Rolle 83 29 (B)
    Bernard 75 32 (C)
    Tolbert 74 24 (C)
    Culpepper 71 34 (C)

    Giants send:
    Phillips 78 24 (B)
    Rolle 83 29 (B)
    Bernard 75 32 (C)
    Tolbert 74 24 (C)
    Culpepper 71 34 (C)

    Giants receive:
    Odom 85 29 (B)
    Briscoe 67 22 (B)
    Jeanty 75 28 (B)
    Palmer 53 27 (C)
    Ndukwe 77 26 (B)

This move favors the Bengals, but it gives the Giants a lot of trading flexibility to make other moves. While we lose our starting safeties, Grant and Ndukwe are capable starters. We also get some much needed linebacker depth with Bulluck and Boley out with injuries. Plus, the Giants shed the contracts of Bernard, an unneeded DT, Tolbert, a backup FB, and Culpepper, a 4th string QB who was deemed expendable when we acquired Vick.

Bengals dramatically improve their safety zone and run coverage play with the intent of moving toward a 3-4 by adding two immediate starters.

While the two biggest giveaways, Odom and Jeanty were not suited for the 3-4.

Briscoe was on the verge of being cut due to too much receiver depth.

The Palmer for Culpepper portion at least gives us a viable backup just in case, kind of bad to say that his 4th stringer steps into my backup role with no pressure from my#3.

From my side yankee to save you the time
    Odom 85 29 (B)
    Briscoe 67 22 (B)
    Jeanty 75 28 (B)
Palmer 53 27 (?-At work cant tell but I think C)
    Ndukwe 77 26 (B)

    From the Giants
    Phillips 78 24 (B)
    Rolle 83 29 (B)
    Bernard 75 32 (C)
    Tolbert 74 24 (C)
    Culpepper 71 34 (C)

I am not 100% on the potential of the last three but I know they arent above C

This isn't outlandish or anything so I approve.

Just remember that if you are trading guys you still have to pay their signing bonus. I only say that because I know Culpepper was an FA pickup and though I don't think he has a signing bonus, if he did, the original owner would be paying it. Just a little FYI.

I just noticed he does have a signing bonus so when you take him off your roster just move him to the bottom and put like CUTS or Traded or something like that so it identifies what you've done with him then take the salary $ off your sheet but leave the signing bonus there.

Then Bomber can just put his salary number on his spreadsheet when he moves Culpepper over to his.

This is a done deal so I'm closing this thread. Please remember to update your spreadsheets and roster management areas.

    Thanks guys.
