Let's take a vote on this to gauge how everyone feels. I have to keep votes public to make sure I get an accurate count, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Why the vote this not a democracy. Whatever Shaun decides is what we will roll with.

The reason we are voting on this is because I selfishly don't want to approve a million trades. I don't want to base a rule on my convenience.

Alternatively you could always just use the Peench, Fuzzy, KDP, and Saw on the TC and just be a tiebreaker. Or simply replace yourself on the TC. :p

    Just brainstorming. ;)

Just so I am clear here .... Option #2 is limited already existing players being traded , but no limits on picks being moved ? Or is it no limit on whatever/whoever come draft day ? Sorry for being a tool but my brain is fried right now with school :(

Basically trades that don't involve players are unlimited for that option. But it wouldn't make much sense to trade my third and second round for your first until draft time anyway.

I voted for 3 because truthfully the NFL barely trades.

Ugh, I hate that excuse. The NFL also dosnt limit you on running draws, or slants, or running with your QB, yet we do these things.

I never run with my qb, rarely ever run a draw play. If the Colts dont run it i refuse to but that is just me. Idc what people do. Me i go for realism plain and simple.

League rules are not made on a player by player basis though.

That and you contradicted yourself as if you were to go for "realism", then you would run the aforementioned plays :p.

We have to make rules that limit gameplay because its a video game and you can exploit things. Offseason stuff we can be true to life at because there's no way to exploit things.

If there is no way to exploit things, why have a limit?

Because its a sim league and it unrealistic. You clearly don't agree, and thats fine. Like I said before I don't mind how we do it. I just personally think its better for the league if there is some kind of a limit. Po-ta-toe, Pa-ta-toe.

I feel that if we would have understood this would be a capped year in trades, that not all of us would have taken the same approach in trading last year. I feel if we do ultimately change the rule that we do it in a two year transition. This year having the limit to 5 trades and then next year limit it to 3 trades and then 3 trades from here on out...

Some players may have taken on new teams based on the idea that they could shape up their teams based on trades, and to take that away from them at this stage of the game would be a little unfair IMO and giving a little more options this year would be more fair.

I understand the frustration of getting trade proposal after trade proposal being a full time job this time of year, but trades are a big part of what keeps people interested in the league.

    Just my .02

I agree with what this man has said herrre ..... my only concern is if we go all willy-nilly and let 7k trades go down , that goes against a sim philospohy, I think this issue is more about principal then actual impact. I know the trade commitee guys dont want to be overwhelmed as well. I don't think we need to make a ton of trades really IMO

That is why I voted for #2 (y)
