When you have a trade that is vetting, you must sit those players out. This is what happens in real life and this is now what happens in the Baseline.

Suit and ties too. I recommend everyone be one or two deep in your inactives for this reason alone.

I assume this means once the CPU has actually accepted your proposed deal?

Yes, while the trade is vetting. When you go to the trade it will say "this trade is vetting".

If BBJ or anyone else asked this question on Skype as well, could you please post in here so its published.

BTW you really need to write up that mission statement and league description. If you need help, i'm bored at work and would love to draft something up.

Here is another rule I'm throwing out there with the real life deadline coming up.

If a trade happens in real life involving one of your teams and all of the players involved in the trade are still on their original teams then that trade will be automatically approved.

Was just thinking that in RL records play a factor in trades, for instance if the real life Pistons are tanking hard they may go into fire sale mode. Now if they have the record I have them at now they maybe dont make a certain trade. So we shouldnt be held to the same standard IMO.

I think bond is saying that you can do the same trade as RL, not that you have to do the same trade...

No, absolutely not. I wouldn't force you to do the trade. I'm just saying that if you want to do the trade it will be approved.

I don't think it will be the Dwight rule because I don't think Dwight will be traded in real life. What can I say, I'm a way better GM than Otis Smith.

Bond told us in the Skype chat earlier that you could exceed the 2 trade rule if your team did a real life trade you want to mimic.

Obviously this means that ZCar352, bringbackjimmy and I are rooting heavily for deals involving Charlotte, Portland or Golden St.

I can't, I traded Udoh/Kwame to Dallas in the deal that brought me Odom. Bondzai said that you have to have all pieces of the deal on the team to qualify for the exception.

Whatever is agreed upon, can we please add it to the league description so it is all compiled in one place? Same with the vetting rule
