TRADES 101 - ALL INFO NEED FOR TRADES/POST - READ BEFORE POSTING

All the info that you need to know on how to properly post a trade thread in the OMFL and the things that must be done can be read here:

    http://www.traditionfootball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28751

    OMFL CAP BOOK: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=tXQCJm2Yi2bYz43w9Gpvhjg&authkey=CKiXjOcD&hl=en#gid=32

YOU MUST READ THAT THREAD SO THAT YOU MAY DO YOUR TRADE THREAD CORRECTLY.

For rules on the CapBook can be read here:
    https://docs.google.com/document/ed..._o5yLlDa6ltz2U_oMVhkAY&hl=en&authkey=CKLV6ZkN

For OMFL normal rules you can read them here:
    https://docs.google.com/document/ed...mbEzxdnRoJjl2nGV_nh_ts&hl=en&authkey=CMzUuu0D

EVERY OWNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS OWN CAP - if you can't keep your cap book updated and your thread updated, then you can't be an owner in the OMFL. PERIOD!

ALL CAP BOOK MINIMUMS, MAXIMUMS, PLAYER MINIMUMS, CAP HIT QUESTIONS, AND ALL CAP BOOK/TEAM MANAGEMENT QUESTIONS CAN BE ANSWERED IN THIS THREAD http://www.traditionfootball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28751 OR ASKED VIA A BOARD MEMBER.

YOU ARE NEVER ALLOWED TO GO OVER THE CAP - if you win a player that puts you over the cap, you are not allowed to sign them until you cut the needed cap space to sign that player.

ALL TRADES FOR WEEK 1 AND OFFSEASON - Trades for during the offseason and for week 1 must be a release and sign type deals since the trade option does not work.

ALL TRADES FOR WEEK 2 AND DURING SEASON - All trades done during the season MUST be done using the trade option. If there is a special need, it must be passed through your Conference rep before being allowed to release/sign.

WEEK 6 TRADE DEADLINE - We hold to the week 6 trade deadline for all trades during the season.

    IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!

This is direct from the rulebook. PLEASE consider this when making trades, folks!!!!

If a team works a trade with another team, the team with the larger cap hit for bonuses takes a cap hit for the remainder of the season. An example is below:

A blockbuster deal involving Colts QB Peyton Manning (overall 99, bonus total of $5 million) and Chargers HB Ladainian Tomlinson (overall 94, bonus total of $3,000,000). The Colts have the larger cap hit based on bonuses paid to the players involved ($5 million versus $3 million). Therefore, the Colts take a $2 million cap hit for the season because they traded away more bonus than they took in from the trade.
