    Tradition football early 2010 impressions?

Where are they fellas? I know some of us have the game today with many more to have it on Friday.

Lets go, post up some info.

    Is it better then 09?

I know Archie and I both got the game today.

    My quick impressions.

    1. I can get a pass rush and the computer puts pressure on you. Georgia Tech was all over Pryor when I match up OSU and GT. I won 27-24 on default Heisman (7 min quarters).

    2. There is a team disparity. I played as Army against Michigan and they routed me 24-0 in the half I played.

    3. The new fleXbox One offense is cool.

    4. Love the new player lock on defense.

    5. Offense is toned WAY down. OSU vs GT, both teams had < 300 yards total offense.

    6. Speed is toned WAY, WAY down. Jamaal Berry (95 speed) wasn't breaking huge runs. Actually, I think I averaged less that 4 ypc as OSU against GT (42 rushes).

    7. It is much harder to pass. The rush is quicker, the WR's get checked at the line alot and the ball trajectory is much lower. I had 3 balls tipped. I think Pryor went 11-18 with 4 INT (throwing while getting hit).

Tomorrow my wife is having a garage sale and I am hoping to dive into dynasty (simming and recruiting) to see how that is. Maybe a little Road to Glory.

The thing I'm REALLY interested in seeing is if guys with 98 or 99 speed can still break 'em long without guys with 90-93 speed running them down.

Good test would be make someone have 99 speed and acceleration and 70 stamina. See if you can break one long against a decently fast defense.

Then take the same guy but with 99 speed and 90 acceleration and 70 stamina and see if you can do it (or how it changes his ability to break runs and turn the corner and such).

Then, take the same guy but with 99 speed and acceleration and 99 stamina and see if there's any difference.

I suspect that part of the reason for the pursuit angles being better and runs not breaking long as easy is because of how quickly guys tire out from stamina and acceleration and speed being less of a determining factor.

Tomorrow I will find a really fast guy and use them.

The angles are much better this year. When you break a solid run it feels GOOD. Last year I could run for 10+ every play no matter the play calling if I had a fast enough guy.

I broke a couple 20+ with Army to be shut down the next few plays. But it feels GREAT to have to work for yards. I put in tOSU's freshman who is 6'0" 230 and you can tell the difference in size when fighting ahead.

It feels like a different game then the demo.

Something about tackling was off in the demo, as well as the pace because of the short quarters.

MUCH better retail version. If you guys post at OS, ODogg has been positive about the game and he was VERY upset with the demo.

Agreed. We all know speed was an issue last year, but I will be a little bummed if the truly elite speed guys can't go the distance if they have a proper angle/hole. In the demo, Demarco Murray and Jeff Demps didnt seem as scary as they should be.

I had two 50+ runs with Murray on All American in the demo. One was untouched and the other I had to juke a SS.

I had several big runs, but was caught from behind (with no angle) on too many of them. Jeff Demps is not getting caught from behind. Ever.

On couldn't break anything big with Murray in the demo, but I picked Florida apart with Bradford on Heisman....I'm getting the impression that the demo was drastically different than the retail version.

How do the graphics compare? They aren't very impressive in the demo.

The screenshots AG took look really good. You can expect things to be toned down a bit on a demo for the sake of conserving space.
