Denver, CO. - The past three weeks, rookie sensation DeAntre Traylor has been putting the team on his back and taking the NFL by storm, week 12 would be no different from the young star running back. From the get go both teams exchanged haymaker after haymaker on defense. The first half was filled with great smash mouth football and plenty of turnovers, as both teams were linked at zero with the half winding down. The Bronco's would eventually turn a late half fumble by Darren McFadden into 3 points and would go into the locker room at half time up 3-0.
The third quarter started no different as both teams continued to slug it out. Midway through the third Traylor would make arguably the best play of his young career. Facing a 3rd and 1 from their own 28 yard line, Coach Truth called a pitch right. The Raiders defense sniffed it out perfectly and rocked Traylor 3 yards deep in the back field. The young back refused to go down, bounced off a tackler and reversed direction. Cutting back across the field and finding some holes Traylor would travel 72 yards to the house, putting his team up 10-0. The Broncos would eventually add two more FGs to lengthen their lead to 16-0 heading into the 4th quarter.
The hard hits would continue as the Raiders would lose 3 fumbles in the game, coupled with 2 Drew Brees interceptions (both teams combined for a total 7 turnovers on the day). Early in the 4th though Brees would find Heyward-Bey streaking up the sideline. A blown coverage by the Bronco FS would open the door for DHB to scamper 76 yards to pay dirt, and tighten the gap for the Raiders.
With the Broncos clearly just trying to keep the clock moving, the Raiders would take to stacking the box to try and stop young Traylor, and stop him they did. Relentlessly the Raider defense would stiffle the Bronco offense all quarter, and after eventually adding a field goal, would have the ball with just under two minutes to play and down only 6. After a valiant march down the field Brees would finally throw his 2nd interception of the day, which inevitable sealed the victory for the Broncos.
GG Miki1369, was definitely an instant classic.
