TSO's biggest problems with Madden 25

    I can't speak for CHUNKNESS, but in the "Q" through 3 seasons, I've had connectivity issues only once, and that was due to my wireless mic being connected. I guess there was some glitch that if a mic was active, you couldn't connect UvU in CFM.

    It's been solid as far as I'm concerned.

    Drifterbub the issue I was speaking to is X-1 vs 360 , as for PS4 I've never noticed guys mentioning the issue but to be fair I just jumped on the PS4 side. I am confident every NextFL guy has gone through the struggle. It works kind of like this:

    I sent you game invite , that sends you a party invite of sorts. If you are in the league file you usually have to back out to main menu.

    This is where it gets hairy and you and I would send invites back and forth until the game connects.

    Then if somebody comes in that party .... bam , came disconnects lol.

    It's beyond irritating and I can't fathom why anyone would purposely design it this way :(

    I think it is an xbox one issue as well. I think the best way to combat this is to start a party prior to connecting to your opponent and make sure no one else is in the party.

    1. Start new party
    2. Load up Madden
    3. Send game invite

    Generally that seems to work pretty well and I haven't had many issues. Where it gets funky is if you're already in a party.

    Like BobJr said regarding the PS4 side, we've had occasional lag on the PS3 side, but you never know if it's the servers or somebody's internet connection. We try to log all of the disconnects that occur in our forum DISCONNECT REPORTS thread. I don't think all of the guys log them, but that is what we have logged to date as far as M25 goes. I do recall some recent accounts of some guys that have had difficulty connecting.

    Regarding game invites

    They way EA or MS whoever designed hwo to accept games is so bad on the Xbox One, not sure why it was designed this way, but i am no developer so who knows.

    I've had issues with the way game invites happen on the Xbox One as well, unlike xbox 360 which is simple, you get a game invite you go to your messages you accept it and you go to the team screen,. Simple, accept the invite and off you go.

    On the Xbox One, i think people were so confused on how it worked because when you accept invite which is "add and play" or something like that, people assumed it goes directly to the team screen, except it didnt, it takes you to the main screen and sits there. The way it worked, after you accept the invite, you have to wait anohter 5-10 seconds for another pop up on the bottom left screen where you then have to press the left stick button to pull up and then accept a confirmation. Since people weren't aware of the 2nd notification to accept, invites were sent over and over again think it was a connectivity issue or something, but really, it is an issue of what it was developed by either EA or MS.

    I believe no salary cap floor nor a salary cap existed during that uncapped year.

    The NFL salary cap for the 2013 season will rise to $123 million from $120.6 million in 2012, league sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.

    Teams were operating under previous estimates that the cap would be around $121 million per team.

    The increase is a result of greater-than-expected revenues last season -- primarily from NFL Properties -- and a jump in projected league revenues, according to the official.

    The league and the union work together to establish a cap number, based on parameters established under their collective bargaining agreement. The current 10-year CBA was signed in August 2011, ending the owners' lockout of the players.

    One of the main areas of contention during that labor dispute was how to divide the more than $9 billion in annual league revenues, a figure that will keep rising, particularly once the NFL's new television contracts kick in for the 2014 season. Those additional revenues will be reflected in the salary cap for 2015, which is expected to see a more significant increase than the roughly 2 percent uptick from 2012 to 2013.

    There was no salary cap in 2010, the final year of the old CBA. In 2011, the first year under the present deal, the figure was $120.375 million.

    Over the next four seasons, from 2013-16, each of the NFL's 32 clubs will be required to spend an average of at least 89 percent of the salary cap in contract dollars, while overall league spending must average 95 percent during that span. That sort of minimum cash spending did not exist under the old CBA.

    Another significant change under this agreement: Owners and players divide types of revenues at different rates. Players receive 55 percent of revenue from the league's national TV and other media deals, 45 percent of licensing and national sponsorship deals, including NFL Properties, and 40 percent of local club revenues.

    I am assuming the floor is based on salaries that applied for that cap year. So teams are required to spend at least 89% on average, so one year they can spend 85% of the cap other 95% of the cap as long its 89% over that time frame.

    My issue is that the spending funds in CFM limits your team cap, a team can have $60 million in cap space like the raiders do with only $20 million funds, they lose the $40 million. One thing to have all these features be add on to the game experience, but it shouldn't cripple your team.

    im confused.

    The Funds don't limit your cap. What limits your cap is the bonus money, the overhead, new stadiums etc........at least thats how I've understood it.

    It's simplified because the average person that plays CFM doesn't wanna even jack with financials.

    I'd like to have the ability to ask a player to restructure his contract or go for an early extension.(I feel this was in a precious gen release) Also the ability to front load or back load a contract similar to the 2k option would be nice and more like real life cap management.

    Scouting wise I feel that most 40 times, bench press, jumping times should be available to all coaches in the offseason. May be the ability to split up time for attending pro days or scheduling individual workouts. In season we should have the ability to assign scouting duties to scouts and the scout ratings affect accuracy of the reports received. Each team could have 3-4 scouts.

    Coordinators should determine the Playbooks available to your team. For example, Rob Ryan would not give you the ability to choose a 4-3 defense if he was your DC. HC & coordinators should have development grades that have varying impact on positions instead of "buying" them.

    GAMEPLAY
    ---On defense, the 3-4 really doesn't work as well as it should. That rushing LB really has no effect whatsoever, and that NT unless usered, gets pushed quite a bit.
    ---Pistol runs are simply too effective on this game. They make ordinary OL-men look very good in that scheme.
    ---Passing wise, I feel DB's catch that super catch up motion on a deep pass...many of these guys rarely go for the INT unless it's underthrown. I shouldn't see a defender somehow catch deep passes like that unless they are the upper tier of CB.

    FREE AGENCY
    ---Make it so I can't see what team is offering who to what guy...maybe we can have a "rumor mill" on a guy...so say team A is in on him...and we don't know who...we can decide to offer more money etc, usually teams don't know what team is in on a guy. Or if you want to keep up with the presentation, use Adam Schefter as a guy who tells you "team A is looking at this guy."
    ---Small annoyance, but when scouring FA, it sucks to always go back to the main menu of free agents. So say I go to check out Adrian Peterson in FA, I don't want to have to come out of his screen, and sent back to the top free agents screen. Instead, take me back to the RB position where I was looking at.

    DRAFT
    ---Give it that combine feel...I want 40 times, bench press, etc all to be available because A- all teams attend the combine, B- it's a big deal nowadays. But i'd like these to be given in the form that it's given at the combine. 4.34 40, 22 reps at 225lbs.
    ---Other ratings, keep it as a roundabout number or "grade"

    My biggest annoyance with many of the screens in the game whether its the FA screen, Progressing players etc. makes no sense I have to start all over. It would be good to have a compare screen for players.

    There is always a market for 3rd party websites to resolve these things ( DaddyLeagues , XFN ) , but to have this just work right on the console would be wonderful.

    There isn't a market if the 1st party site doesn't blow ass. There isn't a huge market for websites to handle gmail because google did an awesome job in the first place.

    But for as long as the 3rd party sites for CFM continue to do a decent job and EA continues to ignore their 1st party web interface, the market will definitely be there.

    I know this is probably beyond too little, too late here. But can someone PLEASE communicate to EA that they need to program the NFL tie-break procedures into the game? We just had another example of an "alphabetical" tie-break in our league where the Jaguars (9-7) were tied with the Texans (9-7) for the second Wild Card spot; 8th seed in the AFC playoffs. The next tie-break would have been best record within the division. The Jaguars were 3-3 while the Texans were 2-4 respectively. However, the CFM put the Texans as the #8 seed in the AFC playoffs based on alphabetical tie-break (Houston comes before Jacksonville). This is the way the tie-break procedures have been programmed into the franchise for years which is completely asinine. Little details like that are what can make a difference between not only a team making the playoffs, but also, a team earning additional player XP with the current CFM player settings. Just a legitimate concern that has been on our minds for YEARS! Thanks for listening. ;)

    Doug must have spent a lot of time reading up on the NFL playoff expansion these past couple days! 6th seed not 8th CHUNKNESS lol. I do agree though, HK has had its fair share of tiebreaker screw-ups and it gets to the point where you want to relocate to any city that starts with the letter A haha.

    Just throwing it out there. I'm pretty sure Nintendo's Tecmo Super Bowl circa 1991 had the tiebreakers for the playoffs right.
