With the 21st and 22nd picks the Boston Celtics will take Arnett Moultrie 6-11 PF Miss St and..... Doron Lamb 6'4 SG Kentucky With an aging roster these two picks will help the Celtics a lot. With Ray Allen being a shell of his former self and KG being the only real interior player they have, these two guys will add some much needed depth to the rotation.
These two could be starters for 'em down the line, or at least Lamb. I'm not really sold on Avery Bradley being the answer for them at SG. Shoot if Ray Allen didn't come back and the Celtics grabbed Doron Lamb, he could end up being their best shooter.
Moultrie was mocked way higher than 21 he could be their starting PF day one. No chance he falls that far tomorrow I dont think.
Agreed My $$ is on he does. Easily a top 10 player (already noted his huge flaw when I drafted) but teams will try to use his back as an excuse to wait around and get the most value they can out of him being red-flagged. My question is which team finally gives in a picks him in the first round?
Cavs are rumored to be hot for Sully if they hold on to the 24th pick and don't go big at the 4th pick.
That would be smart, take some offense and fan interest to put ppl in the seats. That would only leave Beal/MKG/Barnes at 4 to take however right?
AgenT Smith Where you at? I said go ahead and pick lol. I'll give you another 30 minutes before i pick for ATL
Enough with the waiting. ATL Hawks take Jared Sullinger 6'9 PF Ohio St With this it would give the Hawks the ability to play Smith at the 3 all the time. Possibly end up with a lineup like this Teague Johnson Smith Sullinger Horford. With Williams coming off the bench where he should be.
With the 24th pick of the NBA Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers... Royce White (Iowa State) - SF White could ultimately slide on draft night due to his well-documented anxiety disorder, but his talent should be enough to force a team to roll the dice on him. With this already bring their second pick, Cleveland has the luxury to swing and miss and could reap the benefits of a player some feel has top-10 talent.
With the 25th pick, the Memphis Grizzlies select John Jenkins, Vanderbilt With the Memphis Grizzlies likely to part ways with O.J. Mayo, the Grizz use their lone draft pick on sharpshooter John Jenkins. The 6'4'' guard boasts a 3 year college career 3-point shooting percentage of 44% and averaged 19.5+ ppg his last two seasons. The Memphis bench was exposed in their playoff series with the Clippers, and with most of thier salary cap already committed to their big 4 in Rudy Gay, Zach Randolph, Marc Gasol, and Mike Conley... the Grizzlies will not have many options in free agency. Jenkins will be relied on to carry some of the load off of the bench.
With the 26th selection in the NBA Draft, the Indiana Pacers select Marquis Teague, G, Kentucky. The hometown product falls to the Pacers. With all the talk about the Pacers possibly moving Darren Collison, Teague can come in and start at PG right away. He gives the Indiana Pacers something they desperately need: an athletic guy who can get to the basket and create open shots for others. His ability to create open perimeter shots off the dribble drive is perfect for the way the Pacers are set up with Granger and David Wests' abilities to hit open jumpers. Also considered: Andrew Nicholson, PF, St. Bonaventure
And the Kentucky 5 is now gone. Still some solid talent on the board. Yeah they may be headcases, but at this point they have great value to them.
With the 27th selection in the 2012 NBA Draft, the Miami Heat select: Draymond Green, Forward - Michigan State Green is not the most gifted player athletically, but he provides toughness and great leadership. He has a nice shooting touch and is a very good rebounder. While not likely to contribute on a full time basis, Green is capable of spelling both LeBron James and filling in at power forward.
