Shortly after UTEP went up 16-7 with about 3 minutes left in the third, Tulane coach TJM threw down his head and walked off of the field (or his connection dropped). Tulane went up 7 quickly on a long run by Darkwa. After that, it was all UTEP, as the Miners were able to easily move the ball in between the 20's. They stalled out on a few drives and settled for field goals. Quarterback Carson Meger was effective completing 11 of 15 passes with a touchdown and zero interceptions. The Miners did a great job of mixing up offensive play calls, keeping Tulane off balance. Both star running backs were really good. Both went over 100 yards rushing.
