The Oregon Ducks are glad this season of horror is finally over. They will be reevaluating their personell and most likely tweaking their offensive philosophy. The Pistol experiment is over.
Illinois Brass is said to be nervous. The firing of Ron Zook came towards the end of what would be a 7-6 season, with the hopes that new blood would be able to push the Illini into more than just a team that finishes around .500. The Illini are currently 7-5, and Coach Cheez is taking a lot of criticism for how his defense played in a multitude of games this season.
Ohio State again...Crap! At least we are at "home" in the Rose Bowl
Should be a good game im thinking
UCLA is not looking forward to facing Mr. Chapman again ( I say Mister, the guy is a freaking freshman!)
Brehaut is getting a lot of reps with the 1st team and may start in place of Kevin Prince after Brehauts herioc efforts at USC earlier in the season.
Can you call Slick Rick at UCLA and get him to follow your lead with the Pistol
Wisconsin. Home of the best punter. Where we pin you inside the 20 like pinning tails on a donkey.
Pregame Interview with Coach Cheez:
What is your opinion on playing the same team twice in one year?
Well, in general I don't mind it because teams change week-to-week. We aren't the same team that we were in week 1, and they aren't the same team we played. So the game should be different, but we're hoping that we'll still come out on top.
Does your opinion change when you consider rivals playing for a second time in the same year?
Absolutely not. In fact, I think that rivals playing in bowl games is kind of neat. Picture a Florida vs. Florida State Bowl Game; that would be pretty intense. And those tickets would be pretty hard to get; the second-hand market would be extraordinary. So for us to play Missouri in the Insight Bowl, it's a pretty cool experience.
Are you bothered by the fact that a 11-0 Fresno State team beat out 11-1 Wisconsin and 11-1 Alabama for a shot at Texas in the BCS National Championship Game?
Well, I can't speak for Alabama, but I can say that Wisconsin was a national championship caliber team. They were so strong and so quick, it's really a shame that they didnt get to play for the title.
How do you win tonight?
We play our football. We control tempo, and we play good defense. If we do that, we will win tonight.
Oregon State Coach: Our team is looking forward to playing Oklahoma. The Sooners have a great team, a great program, and a great tradition. The Beavers will be looking to finish the season with 10 wins and possibly a top 10 finish in the polls.
Oregon State Coach responding to Erin Andrews after Oregon State's come from behind victory against Oklahoma: I don't know what to say about these kids, they showed the heart of the champion today coming back from 28-0 down. Ryan Katz is just unbelievable, I must have been an idiot not seeing the true skills of this great leader.
As if there was any doubt pertaining to conference dominance:
Illinois def. Missouri
Iowa def. Arkansas
Wisconsin def. USC
Ohio State def. UCLA
Go Big Ten!!!
Correction - Wisconsin defeated USC, a pac 10 team nonetheless.
Texas wishes to cast some doubt!
We took the best your conference had to offer, and left it slain at our feet. By a combined total of not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5... BUT 6 points. Thus, I declair the big 12 to be 6 points better than the big 10 in 2012.
you never beat Illinois, and I contend that given the opportunity my guys would have risen to the challenge
I was an inch away from taking down Bucky! The Pac shall rise again!
he's never beaten Illinois either hahaha
hopefully in year 4 i get a chance to take down illinois And Wisconsin, i haven't played them in a couple years now
Get to the Rose Bowl and then we'll talk
Im hoping we get a chance to renew the ohio st-wisconsin battle this season
