    Two?

Anyway, unless someone jumps up and volunteer runs it I doubt it. Most of the guys who are actually willing to invest the large amount of time to organize, seed, and govern a tournament have been burned by douchery already.

I would be down to be a part of a Madden tourney but I don't think I would be able to run it lol

What Shaun so eloquently meant was the time invested to organize, keep track of results, create a format and then deal with the massive influx of complaints is no small task.

And speaking of complaints... There are always a lot. Especially when there is a prize. The job is too big for one person. Hell the NCAA one was nearly too big for 2 people. And of course, the hurt feelings which come with disciplining people for douchebaggery is never fun.

Agree with PA majesty95 . The amount of complaints and "issues" you will receive is absolutely mind boggling. Tournaments bring out the worst in guys, unfortunately. I'd help spearhead another effort, but I simply won't have the time for it now.

Such a bummer. Sad that douchers have to ruin it for everyone.

The douches are typically new guys. Next year we will have tournaments and there will be a minimum requirement for getting in.

I Can't even imagine running one..with what happened to me in NCAA 11 it turned me away from the tournaments.

If people treat them like league games they are OK. I have a way to deal with these issues, just need to get it done.

Is a 32 man tournament too small? Single elimination? I could manage that. Anything more and I probably want to start mushroom punching people by the end of it.

Make that 3 willing to assist. I'm off tomorrow, if we are serious, let's get together and hash out the particulars.

Alrighty. We can hash out some ideas and present it to the staff. The NCAA tournament was a bit of a nightmare for PA and me, but I'm hoping I learned a few things along the way.

If each league has 32 guys why not have each do their own 32 man tourney? That would solve your douchebag issue hopefully.

That defeats the purpose of a site wide tourney, which is the point of this conversation.

However, I think to Shaun's point about changing the eligibility on any subsequent tournaments - whether time on the site or if currently enrolled in premiership - makes sense. Therefore, I could see where your point would be expanded on via collapsing the tournament into all current league members. For instance, anyone currently scoped for a Madden league on the site, starting today, would be eligible to enter a sitewide tournament. I think would aid in the validity of the eligibility pool as those members would (or should) have passed some minimal evaluations within this community.
