    UCF Game and Recruiting Summaries

Well, for my one (and probably only) game as UCF coach, I had the pleasure of playing Troy for the New Orleans Bowl. The run game was very consistant with 44 rushes for 280 yards and 2 TDs. The passing game was a different story however. Junior QB Rob Calabrese was 9 of 23 for 162 yards, 2 TDs, and 2 INTs. Maybe it's my adjusting to NCAA again or my senior receivers lack of interest in a new system, but there was no rhythm to the passing game. UCF dominated both sides of the ball, giving up no offensive touchdowns and allowing Troy to cross the 50 only once. Their lone touchdown came on an interception return from 94 yards out. The Knights win their first bowl game in school history 34-7.
