So I just finished rewatching another one of my favorite movies the other night, and almost nobody ever talks about it. It might be my favorite Tom Hanks movie, definitely top 3.

So it got me thinking, what movies do you guys think are extremely underrated?

Green Street Hooligans. Never met anybody else that's seen it.

Cashback. Watched this on Netflix a few weeks ago and it was actually really well done from a cinematography perspective.

Fear. Mark Wahlburg was a badass in this one. I still quote it every once in a while. I heard a nasty rumor that Beiber might star in a remake but it looks like that ship has sailed.

Can't think of any more movies off the top of my head but there are some TV shows that I enjoyed that for whatever reason didn't last long.

Saved. Summer series about an EMT crew. I thought it was great and was pretty pissed when it didn't get renewed after the first season.

Pushing Daisies. This one started in 2007 and got nominate for all kinds of emmys and won a few of them. But the Writers Guild went on strike and the show became a victim. Two incomplete seasons and 22 total episodes before ABC axed it.

Men of a Certain Age. One of my favorite shows and it got cancelled after two seasons.

This is one of those movies that any hipster around my age (early 20s) claims to be genius and awesome. I'm not a big soccer guy, and the movie was just alright to me. I get shit for saying that all the time.

So it's worth a watch? I've always like Romano (I think Everybody Loves Ray is one of the best sitcoms ever made) but could never getting around to watching it, looked too serious and droll.

That brought back some memories Bl0ndeRedHead. I've never seen Green Street Hooligans, I'll have to check it out. You guys have some interesting threads, can't stop creeping over here. Haha.

I've always thought the 2nd Harold and Kumar had the funniest character in the whole series with Rob Corddry, everything he does in this movie makes me piss myself laughing.

    Re: GSH -

Interesting. I wouldn't call it a great movie. I just thought it was pretty good, and have honestly never met anyone else that's ever seen it. Or at least brought it up when discussing movies.

    Re: MOCA

I don't know if you'd like it. The name describes it pretty well. Just about three average guys and the issues they deal with. One has a gambling addiction. One still can't get out of his father's shadow and struggles with weight. One is aging and single and trying to stay young. Just kind of deals with their personal struggles. I mean there are some funny parts, but its more subtle humor than anything else. It's not Everybody Loves Raymond funny. I probably wouldn't have liked it when I was in my early 20's.

It actually sounds like something I'd really enjoy. I love subtle humor, the Coen Brothers are easily my favorite directors of comedy movies, and Men of a Certain Age always had that kinda vibe to it.

Thought of a couple more that I think are underrated but quality movies.

Fallen - Denzel Washington was great in this movie. I still get creeped out when I hear the Stone's song.

Passenger 57. Not sure if I think this movie is great because it's great or if it's because I was like 11 when I saw it and Wesley Snipes was a badass.

"Great Wesley Snipes movie" is the equivalent to "sim-style play from Nik"

LOL. Its from 1994 and its one half shitty dinosaur effects and one half softcore porn. I give it two thumbs up.

Love The Burbs. Love Fear (I still pound my chest occasionally). Love Rob Cordry (no video of the grape soda?).

First movie that pops into my head as underrated is True Romance. They dedicated half a Maxim magazine to the story of the movie but I lost that issue. Tarantino wrote two scripts, TR and Reservoir Dogs, while working at a video store. His buddy introduced him to director Tony Scott and he told Tony that he could direct one and that Quentin'd use the money he got from that writing credit to direct the other one himself. Anyways...

Brad Pitt's best work. He had just become a big star at this point but didn't give a fuck, he wanted to do this small role.

as far as TV goes, Jericho.

and I like The Burbs but can a movie be underrated if it's played every Sunday afternoon on basic cable? True Romance was and will always be underrated because of it's title. It bombed at the box office.

You were lucky to get color like that...Most of the time it was just blue and you were basically beating it to Smurf porn.

And Green Street Hooligans was a pretty good movie. I enjoyed it.
