    2009 UCLA Bruins

"With the firing of the ole UCLA BALL COACH, Hova steps in to take over the 2-0 program. The team seems to be lacking in many areas and hopes are not to high in LA but hova is here to change all of that. We got young players but we will make it work, and most importantly, were comin for the recruits.

    Key Bruins:

Red Shirt Freshman QB Kevin Prince : The freshman QB looks to have the starting job over Craft the senior but will not have it for long if he slips up, no job security here.

    True Freshman WR Randall Carroll
: Perhaps the most athletic person on the teams hopes to make an impact immediately on offense as well as special teams. This kid can fly.

    Senior RE Korey Bosworth
: Pry the best player on the lackluster defense and hopes to have a huge season pass rushing off the end.

    Senior CB Alterraun Verner
: The all american shutdown corner seeing his last season at UCLA. Sure to be a great NFL prospect and only hopes to bring his stock up this season playing for the Bruins.

    Big Games

    10/10 vs #8 Oregon
    10/17 vs #10 Cal
    11/28 @ #2 USC

    Prediction for 2009 Season : 9-3

"The Bruins welcomed the KSU Wildcats into Pasadena for what would be a thriller of a game. Young QB Prince came out on fire throwing for 2 TD's and getting the Bruins to a quick lead. But then things fell apart and the Freshman found himself benched at halftime after throwing 3 INT's and a pick 6 right before the half ended. The backup Craft came in and settled down throwing no INTs and 1 TD, but controlling the game. Until a fourth down failed an the Bruins found it a tied game late. Craft then lead them to a scoring drive late in the game where HB Martinez Scored a rushing TD with 9 seconds left leading the a Epic Bruin win in the last seconds of the game"

"The Bruins now go on a bye week before opening Pac-10 play agasint the lackluster Stanford Cardinals. "

"The Bruins headed to Stanford this week to kickoff Pac 10 play. Freshman K. Prince came to play today letting everyone know he is the starting QB of this team and of the future. He had a perfect day throwing 349 yards and 3 TDs, hooking up twice with the essay Embree in the Endzone. The offense was pretty much unstoppable with Prince picking the Cardinal secondary apart. The only bad part of the game was the atrocious Bruin defense who gave up several broken tackles, the only bright spot was Safety G.Love who had 13 tackles and a INT late in the game to seel the deal for the Bruins. True Freshman Carroll also had his break out game with a few long grabs and a kickoff return for a TD. The running game was solid for martinez as well putting in his first 100 yard game of the season. A dominate performance and a great way to open the season in Pac-10 play for the bruins."

Coach Hova had this to say after the game: "Prince played good, he's are starting QB, the problem was our defense, we cant expect to play like this next week against a real offense that is Oregon. They will put up alot more points on us. We need to make better tackles and all play like Love did today, he lead that defense like a mad man. We gotta play defense, keep the run game goin, and have efficient play from the QB. All i can say is i hope were having duck stew for dinner saturday night!"

"The Bruins welcomed the Oregon Ducks to the rose bowl this week in a matchup that looked to be in favor of the number 4 ranked ducks. But all of that changed quick as the Bruins took the opening kickoff back in the hands of freshman phenom R. Carroll. The Reign didnt stop there as SS G. Love had a stellar game picking of 2 passes and returning one for a TD. He also had a sack, 11 tackles, and a gamebreaking safety late in the 3rd QTR. Prince also had a solid day through the air once again connecting with The essay Embree who had well over 150 yards and 2 TDs. Between the offense and stellar play of Love the Bruins were able to march over the Ducks and straight into the ranking next with with a 5-0 record on the season.

Coach Hova had this to say after the game: "Hell of a game,I'm proud of my boys, they went out there today and showed the world who we are taking out the #4 team in the nation. Embree is unstoppable and Love is playing at another level right now. Time to focus on the other bears of the conference next week..."

"The Bruins welcomed the #13 California Bears into a rainy Pasadena this week for a Pac-10 match up. The Bruins started right where they left off last week throwing the ball around on the Arm of freshman QB prince hooking up with a plethora of Bruin Receivers. They took the early lead but god like Running back Jevhid Best kept the bears in the game all day long with a Kick return for a TD, a rushing TD, and a Receiving TD. Prince then threw an INT late in the game that let the Bears right back in the game. With time winding down Cal managed to score with 19 ticks left on the clock tying the game at 35-35. On the ensuing drive Prince connected with Rosario for a 16 YD gain that got them near middle field. With 8 seconds left Prince heaved up a hail mary, the Host of Bruins Radio made the call:

"Prince drops back, he throws the bomb down the field, Austin is there, AUSTIN HAS IT, HE BREAKS THE TACKLE, HE IS GONE!!! UCLA WINSS UCLA WINSSS I CANNOT BIELEVE WHAT I JUST SAW FOLKS

UCLA MARCHES TO AN UNDEFEATED RECORD AND FIRST PLACE IN THE PAC-10!!!!!!"

Coach Hova had this to say after the game: "I can't bieleve what just happened, the kid prince has guts, what a drive with 19 seconds left, this is where legend are made and this is only his freshman year. We are on a roll"

"The Bruins traveled to the desert this week to take on the underachieving Wildcats in another Pac-10 Matchup. The Bruin offense came out on fire lead by the arm of Freshman QB Prince scoring a quick 21 points and making the game seem out of reach for Zona already. But things changed in the 3rd when Arizona got a lucky tip INT and a fumble from HB Rameriz. They found themselves only down by 14 now but Coach Hova and his Bruin offense then settled down putting together a long drive resulting in a TD pass to Phenom WR Carrol, who also had another electric Kick Return in this game. The Bruins move to 7-0 on the season after the decisive win in Arizona."

The Bruins also had a major loss in the game with Hiesman Hopeful WR Embree going down with a hip pointer and is expected to be out anywhere from 2-4 weeks. With even more depressing news HB starter Rameriz was also hurt at the end of the game and is expected to miss up to a month with a sprained elbow. He hopes to return before the Grand Finale and Potential Pac-10 Champ game against USC at the end of the season.

    Key Injuries:
WR Taylor Embree Hip Pointer- 3 Weeks
HB Christian Rameriz Sprained Elbow- 4 Weeks
    (n)

Coach Hova had this to say after the game: "Another great win from the boys but what im more concerned with is the injuries.. We lost 2 of our best players on offense, losing are HB is a huge blow and will put even more pressure on the freshman QB going into Oregon St next week which could be the biggest matchup of the year so far for us, let hope we can come together as a team and still play well. Prince had a another great game, lets see if he can keep it together next week."

The game went TD for TD as it came down to the last seconds tied then sent into overtime, after a Bruins stop on defense the offense kicked a game winning FG in OT to get the W on the huskies."

"UCLA traveled to washington St to play a lowly Wildcat team. They pretty much dominated them on offense but Freshman QB Prince ke[t them in the game throwing a career high 5 INT's and matched that with 5 TDs passing. UCLA held them off for another big win on the road.

Coach Hova had this to say after the game: "It was another ugly win, prince was hot and then cold. Careers highs on both spectrum's of the passing game, i dont know if he is going to make it through this slump if you can call it that. We'll see next week against a much better oppoonent."

In other news there were no highlights for this game as Bruins cameramen have came down with a nasty case of malaria from sharing mexican hostesses on spring break.:HoosierHoo: They hope to back back in full form soon.
