    Update?

Rosters are out now. What's the thought process on when this is starting? I'm ready to get my ass handed to me while playing Idaho over and over again!

I'm all for getting started. Two things first.

    1) Which rosters do you guys want to use? There are 2 sets from what I understand, the OS set and Fairdale Kings. I tried to download Fairdale last night, but it didn't work for some reason. I will try again soon.

    2) Since I'm leaving for next week, does someone else want to start the OD, send the invites etc? That way you guys can advance next week while I'm gone.

I'm not really in a super rush to get things started while you're gone. I don't think an extra week will kill us. Plus we need to get rules and everything else set and finalized first correct?

    That's my thoughts as well.

As for rosters, definitely the OS Community ones.

Fairdale Kings is great for online play, but for realistic player movements and such, it's definitely the OS Community ones.

My thoughts so far are AA and 7 minutes quarters. I think any slider changes can be made as we go. I haven't really had a chance to recruit. Anyone have any opinions on the recruiting slider?

Haven't done a WHOLE lot of testing, but I definitely think All-American if you want a REALLY REALLY tough challenge or default Junior Varsity to give us a prayer of doing anything recruiting wise in the first 3-4 years.

As for sliders, I've found some All-American sliders that I find to be pretty challenging but still makes higher ranked teams beatable and I actually recommend 8 minute quarters with the clock running down like it really should.

Dakota is out of town. Once he comes back into town, we'll be starting. Offered to have me start it early and then give it to him once he was back but I declined because I'd like for him to be the one to setup the dynasty and schedules and such.

have we decided Quarter lengths yet? 8 minutes seems a bit long. I've always like 6 minutes best, but liked 7 as well. How is the game? Picked it up 2 days ago but haven't had a chance to play yet. I am psyched though!

8 minutes is too long. 7 minutes even makes for a long game.

I recommend 7 minute quarters max, with recruiting set on All-American, using the OS Community roster file.

This is exactly what I'm thinking also. I think we just start on AA with no slider adjustments. We can make those as we progress.

I will get invites out on Saturday when I get home.

    Gentlemen -

Now that my law practice is finally gaining momentum Im afraid that I must retire from CTL. The league is in good hands with vets like Dakota and Mors in its membership. I wish yall the best of luck unless we happen to tangle in the T3, C2C, or LOC. Im out!

After much deliberation and testing with my internet connection, I think it's best I bow out of playing ODs altogether until I can either move or get a better internet connection (both of which aren't likely to happen anytime soon).

It's just unbearable how bad the lag gets when I attempt to play people online. I'm really sorry guys. I didn't think this would be an issue, but, for whatever reason that I can't seem to put my finger on, it's something that I can't seem to fix with the connection that I have.

Thanks for giving me a chance on '10 Dakota. I really appreciate it man and I'm sorry to drop on you like this.

    See ya around fellas.
