We'll vote for the best user controlled player here. I'll start a watch list around week 7, and keep records for, statistically, the best player on each team. @TheRealHalupka will you sticky this as well?

I'll do a game of the week thread. For any games, could be user or it could be CPU. Will start on that in week 2.

I'm trying to come up with a catchy/funny name but I'm drawing blanks, so if anyone has suggestions I'd be open to them. Also give me an idea of who to watch for your team.

A name for the award. User Heisman just sounds boring.

The First Annual Johnny Football Award will be handed out to the best user controlled player for every season. At the end of the season we'll vote for the winner. The winning coach will get an additional scholarship to use in the next season. I've decided to do just the top 3 performers at each position. So the list will fluctuate throughout the season. We'll also hand out user position awards, so this will be a good place to keep track of them as well.
    Quarterbacks:

Connor Halliday Washington State: 306 of 484 for 4226 yards with 34 TD's and 18 Interceptions added 164 yards and 4 TD's on the ground.

Javelle Allen Arizona: 272 of 409 for 3695 yards with 36 TD's and 25 Interceptions added 483 yards and 12 TD's on the ground.

Kain Colter Northwestern: 135 of 189 for 2195 yards with 23 TD's and 9 Interceptions added 783 yards and 15 TD's on the ground.
    Running Backs

Kelvin York Utah: 239 carries for 1211 yards and 14 TD's, only 1 fumble, and his longest carry is 24 yards. Also has 23 catches for 270 yards and 1 TD

Venric Mark Northwestern 214 carries for 1227 yards and 11 TD's, 0 fumbles, and his longest carry is 49 yards. Also has 12 catches for 166 yards and 1 TD.

Stephen Houston Indiana: 196 carries for 1050 yards and 14 TD's, 0 fumbles and his longest carry is 46 yards. Also has 9 catches for 90 yards and 1 TD.

    Wide Receivers

    Chris Harper California: 48 catches 1029 yards 10 TD's with 2 drops

    Kofi Hughes Indiana: 48 catches 977 yards 9 TD's with 1 drop

Dres Anderson Utah: 61 catches 968 yards and 8 TD's with 7 drops

    Defense

Jake Fischer Middle Linebacker Arizona: 77 tackles, 9 TFL, 1 sack 5 interceptions

Shaq Thompson Free Safety Washington: 70 Tackles, 3 for loss, 1 sack, 0 interceptions

Nick Forbes Middle Linebacker Cal: 65 Tackles, 12 TFL, 1 sack, 1 interceptions

    Kickers

Vincent D'Amato California: 15-19 on Field Goals longest from 48, 64-64 on PAT

Mitch Ewald Indiana: 21-24 on Field Goals longest from 53 yards, 45-45 on PAT

Jeff Budzien Northwestern: 13-15 on Field Goals longest from 48 yards, 64-64 on PAT

    Awards Winners Announced
Awards season comes a little late this season, but we wanted to make sure as many votes were counted as possible. We wil be starting with the position awards and making our way to the biggest prize of them all. The coveted Johnny Football Award.

First off is quarterbacks. We had 2 finalists, Javelle Allen and Kain Colter. Colter ran away from defenses all year long, and still found time to get close to 2200 yards passing. Allen was handed the keys to an Air Raid offense, but still found time to run for almost 500 yards. Colter was the not so surprising winner, taking 3 of the 5 votes.

At Running Back we had only 1 finalist. and He joined his backfield mate on the awards team this year, Venric Mark. Mark took all 4 votes for Best RB. Mark rushed for 1227 yards and 12 TD's on the season.

We had a similar situation at WR with Chris Harper garnering all 4 votes for the position award. Harper topped 1000 yards and caught 10 TD passes.

Defense was also a one man race with Arizona MLB Jake Fischer taking home the honors. He had a great season for the Wildcats with 80 tackles, 2 sacks and 6 interceptions. He capped his career off with a pick 6 in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Kicker had 2 finalists Mitch Ewald and Jeff Budzien. Kickers are weird so neither of them showed up. But Ewald did win the award.

And for the one award that matters more than the rest. The First Annual Johnny Football Award. This award goes to the best user controlled player from the previous season, and there was just one finalist. This young man garnered all the votes for the award, and he already collected the Best QB Award this year. Kain Colter of Northwestern.

We'll do this again this year, but we'll do it a little different. When we hit week 12, I'll have every coach nominate his best player, and we'll vote for the winner during conference championship week. Also, instead of an extra scholarship I think having an untouchable recruit would be more valuable with these schools. You won't get an extra scholarship, but you will be able to mark 1 recruit as untouchable for the rest of the league.

PM me your votes, if you don't have a player above it's because I never got a nominee from you. You can vote for yourself if you want to. Whoever wins will get to mark one recruit untouchable for next season.

FAU HB Martese Jackson was the User Heisman winner for last season. Austin1990 let the league know by Week 3 who you're going to protect. Just tag everyone in a post in game scheduling. You'll still have to recruit against the CPU, but the recruit will have to be removed from all user boards.

I would do this again, but it seemed like there wasn't a lot of interest in it. I only got 4 nominations, and only 2 votes plus myself. If you would like to do it again this season let me know.
