Well, the Bulls are into their first bye week of the season at 2-1. They got out to a very impressive 2-0 start to the season, but it all fell apart in their meeting last week against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. To add insult to injury, team leader and starting QB B.J. Daniels got injured late in the game sidelining him for 3 weeks. That makes 6-5 JR Bobby Eveld the Bulls starter until Daniels is ready. The running game down in Tampa will HAVE to pick up if they want to make a decent run at the Big East this year. The Bulls are spending this week getting ready to take on a tough Missouri Tiger team in Week 5. After that game their schedule falls into place pretty nice. If they can somehow get past Mizzou, watch out for this Bulls team to try and make a stampede toward a conference title and BCS bowl birth.

    USF 30 TEMPLE 27
    Season 1 Week 6
USF pulled out a squeaker over 3-0 Big East leading, Temple Owls. Bobby Eveld, starting once again for the injured B.J. Daniels, had a much better showing and came up with some big plays when needed. We can't really bring you any stats from this week's game because the dynasty server is a P.O.S. and our access to said stats are currently unavailable. We can however tell you that the Bulls improve to 3-2 on the season and head into their second bye week with a much needed win. They'll be focused and get prepared for a tough Louisville Cardinal team. And thankfully for them, B.J. Daniels should be back for that one. At 3-2 and with that win over Temple, Daniels and co. will look to make a strong push for a conference championship and possibly a BCS bowl birth.

    USF 27 Louisville 20
    Season 1 Week 8
A big win for the USF Bulls this week over Big East rival Louisville. The Bulls had their way with the Cardinals all day long on the ground. Backup runners Lindsey Lamar, Marcus Shaw, and Bradley Battles accumulated for over 200 yards of offense. Bobby Eveld, the USF backup quarterback, went down with an injury early in the second quarter. So it was up to redshirt freshman Matt Floyd to lead the Bull offense. However; as we all know, if you can't stop the run it doesn't matter who's under center. It makes the QB's job pretty easy when you have not only one, but multiple running backs taking chunks of yards from the defense. The Cardinal never really threatened in this one, but did manage to close the gap at the end thanks to a deep ball by Louisville QB Bridgewater. The Bulls improve to 4-2, 2-1 in conference play; while the Cardinals slip to 3-3, 0-2 in conference. USF continues their road this week at home when they take on another Big East foe, Syracuse. They should have Daniels back this week, but if not Eveld will get the start once again.
