USF Stays Focused; Defeats Louisville 23-7 In what was considered a trap game by pundits, South Florida (7-1) stood pat at home to take care of Louisville (4-3) in Big East Conference play. The Bulls survive game 2 of 3 back-to-back-to-back Conference tussles to improve to 7-1 on the season. They now control their own destiny as they head into Piscataway to take on Rutgers for what is essentially the Big East Conference Title. The Bulls were able to take this one with a combination of mistake free football on offense and timely turnovers/PBUs on defense. Impact cornerbacks Quenton Washington and George Baker played sticky hip pocket coverage on the Louisville wideouts all day coming up with several key breakups on 6'8" receiver Josh Cichester. USF JR QB BJ Daniels continued his hot streak connecting on 18-24 and accounting for 262 yards passing with a TD and no INTs before shutting it down in the 4th. Pint sized scatback Lindsey Lamar chipped in with 91 yards and a TD off of just 12 carries.
