UT 48 at Auburn 31 This game was crazy and it had a bit of everything. Kickoff to open the game went to Auburn and they drove down like we werent out there. Nice pass to the flat scores the seven and they are up early 7-0. Kick off to UT and we would answer, two passes were followed by a Bryce Brown 47 yard rumble weak side after Mike moved his DT out of the designed inside running lane. The next drive Auburn would feel pressure and toss a pick, we turned it into a quick seven with Bryce Brown again doing the damage. 14-7 UT. Auburn would answer right back with a long TD drive to tie it up. Bryce Brown would return the ensuing KO for a td and we were back up on top by seven. 21-14. Auburn would again answer as their offense was tearing us up in the first half of this one we had no answer. 21-21. We would drive down and right before the half try and kick a FG, our kicker got iced and missed it badly... Tied at the half. Second half we got the kickoff and turned it into a quick seven driving inside the redzone and scoring to open the lead back up to 7. Auburn would run an option on first down, our DE would get outside in time on this one and I was playing the pitch man with my S, he would try the pitch and I would pick it off and run it in for a score. Very quickly we are up 14 at 35-21. The game from then on out saw several strange plays. We would get lucky on a pass, Fred would break two tackles in the backfield avoiding a sack and throw a laser down the sideline into a tightly covered Carlson who would snatch the ball and rumble down the the one setting up our last td and we would add two FGs also for our 48. Auburn would hit a pass in the flat and his player got hammered and fumbled the ball, two Tennesee players were there to grab it and they both went to the ground. The Auburn guy would pick it up while those fools groveled on the ground and outrace the UT D for a 65 yd fumble return td on O. I think we made Auburn fumble the ball four times and they recovered all of them. All in all the game saw only three turnovers I think, one by me and two by Auburn. Crazy game had a bit of everything. Big hits, sacks, turnovers, big passes and runs and a kick return td along with a picked off option pitch and a offsensive fumble returned for a td. Bryce Brown again led the way as he has done against the Tigers before. Alexander was solid on the road even though he had a shakey controller all game long. We move to 5-0 with the win 48-31.
