    Utah Means Business

The star of the game Stephen Franklin gets his 1st collegiate reception.

Last Season the Utah Utes coach made some comments about Utah State playing football like a bunch of ballerinas. Utah State came out and gave the Utes everything they could but it wasnt enough as Utah won 45-30. This year before the game Coach Shane said he did not regret his comments and he still has no respect for the Utah State Aggies. That was evident this week when the Utes did whatever they wanted against the Aggies.

WR Stephen Franklin 1st collegiate touchdown and the Utes 1st score of the year.

Franklin on a 4th and 25 comes up big.

The Utes may have a hit the jack pot in recruiting this year in the likes of WR Stephen Franklin. Franklin went off on the Aggies today breaking the Utah record for most receiving yards in a single game as he had 296 yards on 11 catches. Corbin Louks looked decent in his first start going 25/50 for 554 yards. Also a new Utes record for most passing yards in a single game.

KR Jerome Brooks takes the opening kickoff of the 2nd half 88 yards for a TD.

The Utes defense played solid under the guidance of new Defense Coordinator Barry Bizzlebucklnerzle. The Utes starting defense only gave up 20 points all game. However most of those points came from having to stop the Aggies from scoring from only 30 yards away thanks to some turnovers from the offense. The new scheme seems to work well as long as the 2nd team isnt in the game. The 2nd team gave up a 98 yard run and a 65 yard run to help make the Aggies score look a little more respectable.

Franklin working his magic once again.

Utah made a statement with their 73-30 victory this week. That statement is look out they mean business this year. Next week Utah is on the road to T-Town Alabama. Their they will have a much anticipated rematch game against #5 Alabama who they whooped up on in a BCS bowl last time they squared off. This is a game that could determine the type of season Utah will have this year look for a drag down knock out fight next week.

Test Proves Alabama Is Not As Good
    As Utah

The Utah Utes played host to the Alabama Crimson Tide yesterday. Alabama was looking to get some payback for a thumping they got in their last game against Utah 2 years ago in a BCS Bowl. Utah would have nothing to do with that though. Sophomore RB Beau Burton rushed for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns leading the Utah Utes to a dominating win over Alabama 38-20.

The Utes new spread offense for this year has proven to be unstoppable after 2 games. Alabama's secondary was confused all day long as they tried to constantly stop the pass only to have Burton gash them on the ground. Corbin Louks didnt have a bad day in the air either passing for 236 yards and a TD.

Next week Utah travels to California to take on the 8th ranked Bears. Hopefully they can "upset" another top 10 team.

Utes Prove They A Are Top Ten Team

The #12 Utah Utes visited the#8 California Bears this week. This is the 2nd week in a row that the Utes have faced a top 10 team. Thats starting to look like a non factor for this Utah team. Utah jumped out to an early 21-0 lead thanks to 3 1st half TD passes from Corbin Louks. The Bears would prove to have some fight in them though scoring 17 points within 4 minutes of halftime.

Utah and their air raid offense came out throwing all over the Bears in the 3rd quarter and getting 2 more TD's while shutting out the Bears defense to jump to a 35-17 lead. Then the 4th quarter started and things got interesting. On the opening drive of the 4th quarter Corbin Louks threw a terrible pass that went for a California pick 6. On Utah's next drive they went 3 and out. On their punt Jahvid Best decided to take it 80 yards untouched for a TD. The Bears now trailed 35-31. Utah would find their rhythm though and score on their next drive to increase the lead 42-31. The bears answered right back though with a FG to bring it to a 1 possesion game 42-34. The Bears would get their 2nd interception of the day on the following Utes drive to set up a FG. Down 42-37 now we had ourselves a game. With 3:00 left in the game the Utes got the ball and proceeded to march down the field and with :47 left they scored to put the game out of reach 49-37

    Utah Beats Air Force

well this one was ugly i passed for over 400 yards and 4 TD's. Burton had 5 rushes for 120 yards. Air Force was held to under 150 total yards on offense. i won 42-7. ea servers screwed me however so i replayed the game and man it was a different story. we won 28-16 but the passing game was a joke. Corbin wasnt throwing anywhere near his recievers. So i went with Burton on the ground and he led us to a win. Rushing 31 times for over 100 yards.

not much to say here except Corbin Louks mr never miss a throw as sucked as much as you can the last 2 games. He is throwing the ball no where near WR's. he threw 4 in the game against CSU. 1 of them was a bad decision. the other 3 were just no where near where i was trying to throw the ball. CSU wasnt able to do to much damage on Offense. But managed to do just enough to win thanks to great field position given to them by QB Corbin Sucks The Most Louks.

CSU 31- Utah Chokes Again Utes 24

    No National Championship this year.
