El Paso, Texas (AP) -- With arguably their best recruiting class in decades, UTEP was leaning on 4*, #7 QB, J. Doucette to take the reigns and lead the Miners to greatness; but it looks like the boys at Rivals.com, Scout.com, and ESPN.com had it all wrong. Enter 3*, #21 QB, M. Siegel. Siegel absolutely fooled the scouts and flew under the radar but practiced hard and improve over the off season to beat out Doucette. "It was an easy choice. If I had to put numbers on it, lets say 1 to 100 as the rating system. I'd say Siegel is 78 overall, Doucette a 73. Siegel's speed, prolly a 87 with 87 acc and Doucette would be in the high 70's of both of those. Doucette would win the throwing accuracy but throwing power, Siegel is through the rough!!" UTEP will count on a lot of youngsters this year but what they lack in experience they more then make for in athleticism.
