Wisconsin made them look horrible. Then Schedule-gate came and they took a sim loss to a team they beat last season.

With two losses the Huskies need to win the remainder of their games to have this be considered a good season, and they took the first step in that goal tonight.

The game was disconnected with the Huskies leading 38-10 so we will have to replay it, but here is basically what happened:

Cal got the ball to start the game and were gouging the Husky defense until they got into the red zone. It was here that MLB Ron Flynn, who has tormented coach jfosh over the years, picked off a pass at the 1-inch line that saved a touchdown. Flynn would create havoc in the passing game all day by covering people the Cal QB was not suspecting.

After that big stop (which was the play of the game IMHO) the Husky offense had legs and scored a touchdown to take the lead 7-0.

Cal again moved the ball pretty easily but were cautious this time in taking a field goal to make it 7-3.

The Huskies went and kicked a field goal of their own to make it 10-3. Then the Huskies kicked it into gear on defense and got a few stops while scoring three touchdowns, including an impressive run up the middle by Brian Wright. QB Greg Baker had a great rapport with his receivers in this game as he threw two more touchdowns.

Cal made it interesting when they intercepted a Baker pass with the score 24-3, and scored a touchdown to make it 24-10. However the Huskies once again took over the game and had made it 38-10 before the disconnect.

The Husky defense seemed to be in good position all day in this one. It was very different from our Wisconsin game where it seemed everybody was a step slow. Maybe it was the fact that it was a home game. On offense we had a lot of energy and good pass protection other than when we had a couple of coverage sacks.

Good win helli...should keep you top 10 for this year. I was wondering that CB you had last year. How many INT's did he have his senior year?

Dismantle was right...so has been the story of the Cal Bears this season.

For every plus on the recruiting side the season there have been more negatives on the field.

blow out against Rutgers...we would like to host them next year at Cal.
an ugly loss to Wisconsin...looking forward to visiting Wisconsin (if it doesn't hurt their strength of schedule)
tough confrence loss to UCLA....they come to our house next year
Dismantling at the hands of the huskies

We mixed in a win against Michigan St. and a few CPU foes but this one was just stunning UW played a great game (good job helli)

this could be Stanford's year to break the streak!
