VA Tech 2014 CPU Game Summaries

    Week 1
The New Hokies take down the Aggies

    VA Tech 38
    Texas A&M 7

The VTech Hokies have new personal everywhere. We are both excited and worried about the upcoming season.

First CPU opponent would be Texas A&M. The Hokies defense just suffocated the Aggie offense. Multiple picks and a few sacks the Vtech Def looks ok to compete this year.

On offense VTECH has a different approach this season as the cant spread the field with Logan gone. We have more of a pound it out attitude. With a solid offensive line and top prospect HB Bruce Burton this seems to be our best game plan. Although we picked a playbook that would allow us to spread the field if need be.

QB Howard is a runner and a passer, look for him to be the leader but not to produce Heisman type stats. He completed 7/12 passes for under 200 yds and 2 tds. Burton had 125 yds and 1 td on the ground. He also caught 2 for tds. He did fumbled on our 20 yd line that led to Texas's only score. Might I add it was pouring all game.

Senior captain SS Walter Britt intercepted an option attempt which was sweet. We need him to make plays every game.

Sliders don't feel too much different.

    #4 VTECH 41
    #19 COL 34

THe Hokies escaped a potential loss in Colorado Friday night. In the 2nd half Colorado continued to answer VTech scoring drives with scoring drives of their own. The Colorado offense fired on all cylinder finding guys open on blitzes and running with a purpose. 2 big passing plays by the VTech offense helped them win this game.

The Hokies were looking for a defensive stop after VTech tied the game at 34 in the 4th after a long 51 yard FG (13 mph winds in our favor). 3rd and 16 on the Hokies 46 yard line Colorado hit a short pass to make it 4th and 11 and decided to go for it with 5 wide (fuck). The Hokie defense all played on the first down marker and Col was forced to throw it underneath and the Hokie defense tackled them about 4 yards short of the marker.....turnover.

With about 59 secs left having the ball on their own 40 yard line....we decided to do a few quick handoffs with BB as he was clipping off 5-6 yards a carry. We figured we need to get to the 35 yard line. After a few handoffs to get to midfield Howard playactioned and under pressure hit Freshman WR Todd Stanley for a 51 yard catch and run.....his second long TD catch of the game.

    Phew....

    Hokies
    QB Howard 11/24, 210 yds, 3 TD, 2 INT
HB Burton 34 car, 160 yds, 2 TD
WR Stanley 3 rec, 124 yds, 2 TD

    Buffalo

QB Hart 26/38 att, 2 TD
HB Brown 33 car, 143 yds, 1 TD
    WR King 7 rec, 140
TE Palmer 4 rec, 81 yds, 2 TD

Way to hold on. Besides Georgia's thrashing of Wisconsin it looks like the top 25 teams are giving us a little run.

VA Tech takes out the Boston College Eagles....besides the 7 Turnovers!!

    VTECH - 48
    BC - 7

Raining day in Boston and the VA Tech QBs were a mess. Kyle Howard was 4-14 with 4 picks....Back up Edwards threw 2 himself but also Connected with Mr Jeff Ellis for a record setting 270+ rec yards. The Boston Corner back was simple not tall enough, I would just bullets the ball high and the CB had no chance.

What a horrible game going into the Miami Game. The defense played well though.

The offense sucks without my Horse..........weep, weep.
