BILLS CAPITALIZE OFF OF MIAMI'S MISTAKES, FOCUS ON GROUND 'N' POUND
With news coming in earlier in the day that the Jets had topped the Chargers, Buffalo's playoff hopes were dashed before their divisional matchup with the Dolphins had even begun. But that didn't deter the Bills from putting in a good effort in front of their fans in an attempt to keep momentum rolling into the offseason. But with the rain pouring, the game quickly became one-dimensional. The Bills were lucky to jump onto the scoreboard first and eventually jumped out to a 14-0 lead. With Fitzpatrick's passes often off-target and a lead in hand, the Bills focused on letting Spiller and Jackson run the team to victory. The two backs performed well and provided solid production throughout the game. Unfortunately for the Dolphins, they needed to air it out more in an attempt to comeback, but the team must've left the stick'em at home. Dalton had an underwhelming performance that included 2 lost fumbles. Along with an interception and a Jonathan Stewart fumble, the Dolphins ended up losing the ball 4 times without ever getting a takeaway of their own. The turnovers often either ended a potential scoring drive or put the Bills in prime position to score, and simply became too much to overcome. The Bills will now face off against AFC East division champion Jets in Week 17, and will surely be looking to win the season series.
