Mile High stadium is never an easy place to play and that was proved once again. Buffalo hit the road in what was an ugly game for pretty much all 4 quarters. Neither team could get much going in the first half and the punters were the superstars. With a little under 5:00 left in the 2nd quarter, Buffalo return man Asaad Elliott was blown up on the return and fumble, then picked up by Nickell Robey who was also hit stick'd and finally recovered by Denver's Nate Irving at the Buffalo 21 yard line. Denver could only muster a field goal off the possession but did score the games first points to lead 3-0. The next possession that had any worthy stats was Buffalo's final drive inside 1:00 before half. The drive started in Denver territory and Drew Hale connected with Robert Woods on back to back plays to move inside Denver's 5 yard line rather quickly. Buffalo burned it's last timeout with 10 seconds left. On the next play, Hale hit TE Orson Charles at the .00001 inch line and Charles was tackled as Buffalo could do nothing but watch the opportunity for points tick away and still trail 3-0 at half.

Opening the 2nd half, Hale found Sammy Watkins on an underneath drag route that went for 31 and quickly into Denver territory. A few plays later, Ka'Deem Carey took a 2nd down handoff and went all the way for the 41 yard touchdown to give Buffalo a 7-3 early 3rd quarter lead. The two teams traded punts for quite awhile until Denver got the chains moving early in the 4th quarter. QB Lindsey Clarke converted 3rd down after 3rd down and stepped up big at crunch time. The drive also included a 4th and short conversion with RB Amond Curry. After that conversion, Denver scored on the next play with a slant to Demaryius Thomas who carried Stephon Gilmore a solid 5 yards into the endzone, for Denver to lead once again 10-7 with 5:00 remaining. It was Hale's turn to make the big money throws and the 3rd year QB did just that and moved past midfield after connecting with WR Javian Jamison and Orson Charles. With a little over a minute left in the game, Hale hit Sammy Watkins on a corner strike to get inside the 5. On 1st down, Carey fumbled after getting blasted but luckily for Bills fans, it was recovered. On 2nd down, Javian Jamison dropped a touchdown over the middle of the endzone and finally on 3rd down, rookie TE Doral Milliner hauled in his only reception of the game for a touchdown to give Buffalo a 14-10 lead with 30 seconds left in the game. It only took two plays to seal the game for Buffalo as Bronco WR Emmanuel Sanders fumbled and safey Duke Williams scooped and scored to give Buffalo a 21-10 victory.
