BACK ON TRACKHuskies follow humiliating defeat with a hard fought victory over Cal, 24-21.
Seattle, WA -
After dropping a disappointing blowout to ASU, the Huskies looked to rebound at home against the always game Golden Bears of Cal. This game proved to be a barn-burner as it went right down to the final few seconds. The close margin was partially due to a poor performance, to say the least, from UW senior kicker Eric Folk. Folk missed 2 FGs early in the game. Both had plenty distance behind them, however, they both ended up being slightly shanked to the left. Despite his struggles, the Huskies went right back to him with just seconds on the clock in the 4th quarter. The score was tied at 21 and a field goal more than likely meant a victory for Washington. Cal attempted to ice Folk, but that was all for naught as the veteran nailed the kick and put the Huskies ahead with only 5 seconds remaining. This proved to be the deciding blow for the Huskies, as they would go on to scrape out a hard earned conference victory over the Golden Bears football team.

Tyler goes for 121 yards and 2 TD's
USC's defense buckled down after giving up 14 first quarter points to Arizona St. After that 0's were place on the scoreboard. Marc Tyler had the decisive TD on a 52 yard sprint. He was sent to pay dirt with a great block from TE Rhett Ellison.
Coach Sdid: "We played pretty well for three quarters. We should have won by 10 more points. My game ball goes to Rhett Ellison who hauled in that big TD pass and had a great block to spring Marc."
