Good question, lol. I believe I could have kept both until team control was up but then what does the rest of my team look like when they both hit 30? I have two impact bats on the roster that will be with me past 2 years in Weeks and Waters with Robbie Paul coming up, so I went after another bat in Wagner who could or couldn't pan out but that's up in the air with 3 solid arms I like and Larry Smith being a lefty who could be underrated.

I love Pearson with the extra incentive of him being out of FSU and it doesn't make sense on the surface but I haven't done anything since 2022 so why not shake things up...?

It's just an odd strategy. Most teams refill their minors by trading older and more expensive players. These guys were neither old, nor expensive and under team control for awhile longer. By the time they are getting in advanced age (31-33) I would think you would have pieces around them. But it's your team, just don't think it was a good trade.
