Well guys, time for another season. This one should be the best yet, there are no real players left and your program is basically what you've built it to be. We have 11 members now and it looks like a 12th will be joining soon as Florida State. With the current conference alignment there's going to be some great competition and I'm excited to see how it all unfolds. I know that most of you asked for game speed to be turned up to Normal, I forgot to do it in the offseason so that change wont happen until next week. Sorry for the inconvenience. Before you rush to play this weeks' game or recruit, I would love to see some content. Season preview, team page, game preview...anything. This especially pertains to you if you have a bye. Good luck and have fun.

Do you want Rekkapryde to hold off if someone is going to join as FSU?

    COREY MANN IMPRESSES IN DEBUT

Corey Mann was the games MVP as the Sophmore gathered a combined 313 Yds and 4 TDs (2 Rush) in his first start since stepping on campus 2 years ago. The unsung hero of the defense was Demetrius Carr, the Junior FS had limited playing time the last 2 years and made the most of his opportunity against the Wildcats. Carr recorded 7 Tkl, 1 Sack, 2 Forced Fumbles and an INT which he returned for six.

    A New Star Rising?

Vince Woods' first career TD, a 51-yard run
The Texas coaching staff had planned to alternate quarterbacks early and often in their season opening matchup with #13 TCU, but once the lights came on Vince Woods caught fire and changed that plan. The Horns new QB opened the game with a 2 play drive where he carried the ball on back to back option plays and scored on a 51-yard run less than 30 seconds into the game. The defense then picked off a TCU pass to set the offense up with great field position, and HB Charles Stevens hit paydirt from a yard out. Shortly thereafter, Woods went back to work hitting Terrence Dorsey with a short pass that he broke for a 56-yard score. TCU was able to get on the board late in the first quarter, but the second quarter was back to being all Texas. By the end of the first half, the Horns had put up 49 points and just over 400 yards of offense. Woods went 14 of 16 for 214 yards and 3 TD passes, while adding 147 yards and 3 rushing scores on 5 carries in his first game as the starting QB. Probably most importantly, he didn't commit any turnovers. Now the question will be is this a flash in the pan, or can he sustain a high-level of play throughout the year. Next week's matchup against #1 OSU will give some insight on this question.

    A NEW ERA
    [IMG]

The first play of the J.R. Gant era? A 76 yard TD on a zone read play. Gant would reel off another 78 yarder in the second quarter. It got ugly fast against the outmatched Demon Deacons. They turned it over 4 times and only passed the 50 in the 4th quarter against the backups to get their lone TD of the game. Notre Dame only attempted 16 passes in the game and still dominated. The Irish attempted one pass in the 4th quarter on 3rd down, and the WR broke open for an easy TD. Everything was coming up Golden. Even when the backups came in. The first play for backup QB Eric Williams? 45 yard TD.
