Panthers come into this year after a 12-4 season. Panthers defense shutdown the Eagles explosive offense not allowing the Eagles offense to put up any points. In the first, the panthers took a 14 point lead thanks Delhomme hooking up with his favorite receiver S. Smith for a 18 yarder and a 53 yard touchdown. Eagles quicly answers after the 2nd touchdown when newly acquired R. Bush took the kickoff 107 yards to paydirt. After 1, the Panthers lead 14 to 7. After starting off 1/4 for 21 yards and a Int, Coach Vishal pulled Mcnabb and replaced him with M.Vick in hopes to spark some offense. Vick continued to struggle behind center for the Eagles, while the Panthers added to their lead with a 20 yard FG and a 2yard D.Williams TD run. Panthers go into the half up 24 to 7. In the 2nd half the Panthers defense held the Eagles in check and added a 28 yard TD run by D.Williams in the 3rd Quarter and D.Williams again in the 4th taking a screen pass 56 yards to the house. Panthers win their Week 1 game 38 to 7.
