Post 'em up, bitches.
Wyoming 33 Buffalo 0
I'm really loving this 3-3-5, held Buffalo to a measly 68 total yards. Wyoming couldn't get their offense going at all Buffalo had some great redzone defense. The freshman Ben Beck threw for over 200 yards while freshman Sean Hamilton ran for 77 yards and a TD. Wyoming's offense struggled ALL game in the redzone, they had to settle for 4 field goals when they could have easily been touchdowns. It was pretty bad but we got the win and a shutout at that. My team has the same ratings as last year..but I sense we can actually be a threat with a new playbook and a new QB, that Run and Shoot wasn't working well last year. We switched it up to a West Coast style gameplan and it fits the Cowboys well. We will see how this season will play out. We face the #8 Trojans next week.
BYU - 42
Ole Miss - 28
Cougars Stun The Rebels In Season Debut
What a win to kick off the season for BYU; the fans in Provo are still raving about the spectacular play of freshman HB Alex Moore (307 all purpose yards, 3 TDs), and it's hard not to be excited about the future with that kind of game from this kid. Let me start at the beginning...
Things started off slowly, with BYU electing to receive the ball first. Both teams exchanged punts, and Ole Miss struck first early in the second with a 12 yard run by A. Harmon. On BYU's next possession, the sophomore QB B. Maxwell got a little nervous as his protection started to break down on a pass play, and he scrambled to the right to try and gain some yards, but took a hard hit and coughed the football. Ole Miss capitalized on the mistake with a FG. 10-0 Ole Miss.
Maxwell didn't let the early turnover effect his confidence, and went right back out there and led his team down the field with some precise passes. On a second and long, Maxwell hit a wide open freshman TE R. Medlock for a 36 yard TD pass. BYU's defense forced a 3 and out after the kick return, and the offense got the ball back with about a minute left in the half to score. On a long 3rd down attempt, Maxwell hit slot receiver Randy Moss on a post route to the sideline, and Moss took it to the house for a 63 yard TD. 14-10 BYU, and that was the half.
During halftime, Coach Fuzzy elected to put in his explosive Freshman HB Alex Moore (also the kick returner/punt returner) at the starting position, as the Junior J. Williamson was producing little results with 4 runs for 11 yards in the first half. This turned out to be a great decision.
Ole Miss received the ball first in the second half, and did a got job getting down the field with their run game. They failed to convert a first down around their own 38, and decided to try a FG. Coach Fuzzy had his doubts about this kick, and sent Alex Moore down in the endzone to return the kick if it was short. The kick indeed was way short of the posts, and Moore proceeded to sprint down the field from the 3 yard line. He made an impressive spin move to rid himself of any possible Rebel defenders in his path, and jetted it in for a 97 yard TD. 21-10 BYU, and the crowd was electric.
Ole Miss continued to find success with the run game, and scored another TD on a long drive. BYU failed to do anything offensively, and Ole Miss put up another FG. The game was now 21-20 BYU late in the third. The Rebels kicked the ball off, and A. Moore had yet another big play with a 93 yard kickoff return for a TD. This put the Cougars up 28-20. On the very next possession by Ole Miss (start of 4th quarter), Cox was intercepted by star senior CB B. Simon for a 61 yard pick 6. 35-20 BYU, and the game seemed to be getting out of reach for the Rebels.
Cox made an impressive pass to G. Johnson who ran it in for a 57 yard TD. Ole miss converted the 2 points, and it was now 35-28 game. A few plays into BYU's clock chewing drive, Alex Moore found a hole, and quickly sprinted through and down the field for a 60 yard TD. 45-28 BYU, and this would be the game.
B. Maxwell 7/17 195 yds 2 TDs 0 INTs
A. Moore 9 atts 88 yds 1 TD, (219 return yds, 2 TDs)
J. Williamson 4 atts 11 yds

Cincy 10 - Air Force 41
Coach Noffke was impressed with how well his offensive line preformed. In addition to them, QB Berry did a good job at QB starting his collegiate game at Air Force. Air committed no TOs and only forced 1 against a hurry-up spread attack of Cincy.
Air Force came out of the gates on their first four possessions scoring TDs. Coach Noffke attempted a 57 yard FG that hit the crossbar and was no good. Air Force dominated all aspects of the game and controlled how Cincy would run their offense. Air Force's rushing attack was spot on thanks to Berry executing the passing game. Chavis seen majority of the carries and used his smashmouth run style most of the game. Barrett only carried the ball 6 times but averaged 22 yards per carry. Cincy punted 6 times in the game. I believe this was the most I ever attempted to pass with 31 total pass attempts and 18 completions.
That's what's up!
Defense looks dominant in San Diego this year! Offense is gonna be a battle. Some days I'll win and some i fear I'll lose. My new QB has a cannon and enjoys showing it off by overthrowing everything. It's very similar to Jake Wyler (soooo much gay porn when i looked up "Jake Wyler throw" WOW)
anyway, It's a miracle he didnt turn the ball over and WRs even caught two passes off the tip to pad his stats. On the day, he went 12/30 for 278 yards and 3 scores. Anderson was a big part of that with 2 catches for 98 yards and nearly 2 TDs. True Frosh Josh Cox made a nice snag through coverage and YAC to take his first reception to the endzone.
Tate had a decent day on the ground but the RS frosh Johnson made the plays with a 34 yard scamper late followed by a TD run. He lead the team in rushing with an average over 11 YPC
the D-Line went NUTS! Cliff Davis burst through for 4 sacks! While Brown, Fisher and Carroll added one each. One of Cliffs sacks forced a fumble but the offense recovered. Vaughn also forced a fumble while Clark was the only turnover with an interception. UCLA had just 167 total offense on the game. The ex-Aztec recruit that changed him mind last minute and went to UCLA Stan Houston was SHUT DOWN for 4 yards on 4 carries! dont try that again!
Good news is you get to kill 2 birds with one stone.
its frustrating. When Andrews first stepped in, he consistently was around 45% completion against CPU teams so I learned how to manage him. Van has a lot of potential and is a better passer then andrews was but may take a few games to get used to it. Im just worried elk will get like 5 picks off me on plays where i have wide open men and the ball is just way off
My tip to you is don't use the arrows if his accuracy is ass his shit is gonna go crazy just press the button. It will be more accurate than the arrows.
U mean the d-pad/left stick.
Arrows/D-pad lol that's the same thing for me but yea you get what I'm trying to say
oh i do. every single throw i aim behind te WR or short. it's ok on the crossing routes but the deep ball is so sporadic. once i hit user games the routes will spread out and tighen down and more guys will be in passing range. this first game was a lot of a practice game to see what i trust
UNLV Runs Away With the Road Win
UNLV came to rainy Starksville, Mississippi for a game with the Bulldogs. UNLV came in wanting to run the football and that's exactly what they did. Earlier and often. "We wanted to give the ball to our best players. Brent and Ken are the corner stones of our offense. And today, they showed that they were not going to be denied of a victory." says Coach Beardown. "We had faith in Michael Tolbert but he is young and inexperienced so we wanted to let him ride the running game. He did very well minus one ugly unforced pick he threw. But he'll learn in time that he won't get many opportunities and have to make every one count." The defense also played at a phenomenal level. "The defense is young so we expect some missed assignments week one. But they played fast and excited. They were playing with a passion that I've wanted to see here for years." UNLV takes the first win of the season and host the Huskies of Washington next week.
COLORADO STATE: 27
The season started out very well with a quick 3-and-out by my defense. First play of the game hit freshman TE Thompson and he broke 4 tackles to get down inside the 10 yard line. Mile High was buzzing! My RB Robertson punched it in to give us the early 7-0 lead.
Spent a lot of time this game trying to get a feel for my offense. It's tough because I have many weapons I want to give touches but if I focus too much on spreading the wealth the offense seems to stall. This was the case in the second half. We added another Robertson TD on a nice drive where speedy slot WR Ryan Henderson hauled in a very nice grab on a corner route to get down inside the 5 yard line. We got some big hits that forced a few fumbles, ended up in two field goals as the offense stalled inside the redzone. We led 20-0 at half.
Started getting better rhythm going in the second half but we kept get stuffed on third down. I still am getting my passing attack figured out but the running attack should be solid. We added a WR Pat Lambdin TD grab as QB Orlando Ward was forced outside the pocket and threw a beautiful pass.
While up 27-3 they added a TD in the final minute against the reserves, got the 2-pointer as well. Overall there was some good and some bad but we still need to figure out how we want to run this offense. Qualcomm is gonna be POPPIN for week 2!
Eastern Mich 0
The Horned Frogs started of their season with a shutout victory over heavy underdog EMU, The TCU D came out firing on all cylinders. "We were on a mission right out the gate" said Coach Baker. "We wanted to come out this season and establish what we like to call in Fort Worth, "controlled chaos". TCU's defense flew around all day holding EMU to 229 yards of total offense and forcing 3 turnovers. The Horned Frog offense also played marginaly well, racking up 415 yards of total offense. SR QB Russ Robinson was solid in his first start for Head Coach Baker, throwing for 208 yards and 2 td's on 10 of 16 att.
