In their opening game of the season, the Jets had to travel to Buffalo to face an underrated Buffalo Bills team. With the Bills having upgraded their team at key spots including offensive line, free safety and MLB, the Jets knew this game would not be similar to those of last season and were prepared for a war. The gameplan for the Jets was simple, establish new RB Knowshon Moreno early and often and force Levi Brown to make throws when on defense. The Jets were successful in both as they dominated the Bills from beginning to end on both sides of the ball to get off to a positive start to this season.

    First Quarter
The game started off great for the Jets as they won the coin toss and elected to defer until the second half. On the Bills very first play from scrimmage, Pro Bowl MLB David Harris would pick it off deep in Bills territory. After a couple plays, Mark Sanchez would return the favor as he would throw a pick at the Bills 1 yard line. The Bills would then capitalize by scoring in 4 plays with CJ Spiller taking it 63 yards to the house for the early 7-0 lead.

    Second Quarter
The Jets would bust open the game in the second quarter as they rattled off 28 straight points. Knowshon Moreno would start it off as he would punch it in from 3 yards out. On the Jets next possession, Mark Sanchez would find TE Dustin Keller on 3rd down for the 54 yard catch and run. After another Levi Brown interception, Mark Sanchez would see the safeties creeping up and would audible out of a run to find Braylon Edwards with 1 on 1 coverage as he would connect for the 36 yard score to make it 21-7. With 12 seconds left in the half, Knowshon Moreno would punch it again from 2 yards out to stretch the score to 28-7. Showing plenty of fight, Levi Brown would launch a bomb to Dwayne Bowe for 72 yards to make it 28-14 at half.

    Third Quarter
The Jets opened the second half just as they ended the first. After driving down the field, Mark Sanchez would once again find Dustin Keller, this time for the 6 yard score making it 35-14. On the Bills next possession, MLB David Harris would strike again as he would pick off Levi Brown but this time returning it for the score to stretch the lead to 42-14. Each team would hold one another out of the endzone for the rest of the quarter.

    Fourth Quarter
The Jets would go into conservative mode and were trying to eat up clock. The Bills were still fighting as they would score a late touchdown to Marcus Easley(UCONN product) from 4 yards out.

    Final Score 42-14
