I just wanted it to be close...you know let the big boys know we are here and we are someone to deal with...that they were in a fight. When we were down 35-14 I just wanted my guys to fight until the end...Fight they did. Despite 5 turnovers in the red zone including two picks in the end zone and two fumbles by WR Ricky Johnson, we had a chance...in OT I wanted to win...we had a chance...in a game like this that's all I could ask for...Sooners we'll be back baby and with a better defense...we were so close

Tulsa Player of the Game: QB G. Kinne 30-43 590 yds 6TD
Oklahoma Player of the Game: Tulsa WR Ricky Johnson (fumbled at 2 yd line)

I know my team sux, I know this. And me beating Pitt with Dion Lewis and Jonathan Balswin returning is laughable. However, I did not expect to lose 70-42.

Even when the cpu tried to run out the clock, after I punted they got a touchdown on the first play rushing because I cannot tackle. Oh, my player is in the right spot 95% of the time. But, the cpu always breaks the first tackle then their gone. I put big hits and strip to conservative to help tackling..it still didnt work.

The cpu broke atleast 20 tackles in one game. Dion lewis broke 11 by hisself. I dont think even bo Jackson and Hershal Walker broke that manu in a game, Hell i dont think trent richardson and ingram combined for more the 16 broken tackles in a game like Lewis and graham did. This is bull-ish....lol not missed tackles, broken tackles....if I included missed it would probably be 50 total lol...

PotG: D. Lewis 27 car 330yds 6 TDS and 11 broken Tackles. which led to long arse TD runs!!!!....i think im gonna be sick.....

Hang in there homie...It will get better when we get to Conference play

Yes the sliders are challenging, we made them that way so our Mid Level teams would have more realistic scores while playing the "Big Boys"

I got lucky to win my game yesterday

man i really cant judge just yet...becuz my team sux...but if the cpu runs the ball they will get a TD 80% of the time and a first about 90%. They just shake my guys thru those animations or run straight thru them. They are playing football and my guys are playing tag...lol

@Vols I'm not gonna quit after one loss lol...my team will just have to adopt the Suns and Steve Nash's philosophy. "Score a sh'tload of points!!!" defense? what defense? lol

Well its hard for me to tell also, but i think the passing is ok but Michigan just ran all over top of me. Its one thing if your DL is just manhandled by a stronger OL, but when 3 guys hit the RB in the backfield and he breaks those plus 3 more on the way to the endzone it kinda like dude. But then again it was Michigan will see what happens against RB's in conference. Maybe take RB ability down a little and CPU run block up a little.

After the game the coached talked about playing 4 quarters after going into halftime down only 7. Its going to be a long road, but after the way my team fought in the first half i think by the time we hit conference play we should be able to make a good showing. EMU will not be 0-12 this season. EMU has changed philosophy going to the run balanced offense and a run first offense. It just was not working against that Michigan front 7. We play Beamer ball under the new coaching philosophy. Look for big things to come from EMU. OUT.

Toledo would be playing Marshall this week after being called out in the offseason. Well offense was very poor on the Toledo side but the special teams and defense came through in big ways. Marshall turned the ball over and Toledo would score 2 touchdowns on fumbles one on a punt and the other on an option that went right into toledos arms and returned 44 yards for game winning touchdown. Toledo forced 6 turnovers which was key in a game where the offense wasnt doing much at all. Toledo wins 21-14

I love that in this recap, its Toledos OFFENSE that wasn't doing much, not that Marshall's defense was smothering, pressuring the QB on nearly every play. I had TERRIBLE ball security, necessitating the removal of my sophomore QB after 1 quarter in which he fumbled the ball twice. My senior QB was no better, fumbling the ball for a TD, and pitching the ball directly to a DT for a TD.

So does this suggest that you had a horrible offense and Toledo's defense had nothing to do with your loss as well??? lol hehehhe:D:D:p:p

The box score speaks for it.

One team was 71% effective on converting 3rd downs, one team converted 37% of 3rd downs.

One team had 318 yards on offense, one had 226.

    The big difference?

One team had 6 turnovers and one team had 3 turnovers, and that made ALL the difference.

When teams are evenly matched, ball security it paramount, and Marshall could NOT keep hold of the football.

The Bronco's welcomed Kansas St. to town only to lose in the last 2 minutes 13-10. Western Michigan had numerous chances to take a big win in their 1st game of the season. However, it was not to be. Western Michigan's defense played strong all game but a costly fumble by starting rb Winchester stopped a drive late in the game. Even though the team wasn't able to pull out the win, we showed alot of promise.
