Saints Show Rust - Bush Bust Balls - Saints Win On Last Second Kick

Saints travel to NY to kick off season 5 against the Gmen and Coach Dave. Both teams coming off a up and down season 4 and look to get started quickly. Saints bring a revamped offense and a faster defense, while the Giants are looking to bash people in the face with Jacobs and tear up the air with Eli and those great WR's.

First game started off hot for the Saints. Scoring on a 93 yard td pass to henderson, 75 yard td run from Bush, the Saints jumped up early. Giants battled back but a DC caused a restart.

Second game was much more of the same for the Saints offense. First play from scrimmage Brees hit new WR Garcon for a 60 yard td pass and catch for the early 7-0 Saints lead.

Bush comes back on the 2nd drive and bust it up the middle untouched for a beautiful 28 yard td run to make it 13-0 Saints after a missed XPT.

2nd quarter would be all Giants though as they would come back with long clock eating drives. Jacobs would get them on the board with a 7 yard td run early in the 2nd to make it 7-13 Saints.

Right before half, both teams would trade punts and ints, Brees had a tough day with lots of rust, as the Giants get a fg with 1:55 left before half to make it 10-13 Saints.

Brees would be try and drive the Saints again, but a stupid throw to the flat was picked off by Pollard who takes it back 26 yards for the TD and a 17-13 Giants lead.

After half both teams would feel each other out and both D's would play much better. Bush would break loose though on a 71 yard td run to take back the lead 19-17 after another missed XPT. Two things would kill the Saints today, missed XPT and quick strike and score offense.

4th quarter would be all kickers as this game came down to the wire. Giants would get a FG late to take the lead 20-19 with just under 3 mins to go in the game.

Saints would have to drive and get something going quickly. Brees would catch fire and get the Saints down for a 34 yard fg try as time expired. Hartley hit this one perfect to win the game 22-19.

Great game @saintsdave75. Both of our teams battled and it was a wonderful sim style football game. GL the rest of the way, and here's to seeing you again in the playoffs!

    RB REGGIE BUSH
Reggie Bush had an amazing day today. Problem was it was too good. 143 yards and 2 tds but only 8 carries, because he broke almost every one of them. That and he's splitting time with Thunder of the group in Greene who had a decent day himself. Saints need more of this from Bush because it will really open up Brees and these great WRs, neither who had a great day because of Bush today.

Yeah it was a very good game, dogfight until the end. Damn, I couldn't believe the space those guys (Bush and Henderson) would create, After a short catch or run, a few zips and they were gone
