    Week 1 - Texans (42) vs. Jets (9)

From the very first snap Steve Slaton showed why he lead the league in rushing yards for a rookie last season. He took the very first snap of the game 74 yards for the touchdown. The picture above is him on his way to the endzone. After a tough three and out by the Jets, he took the very next snap 70 yards on a screen pass to the weak side of the field. He was todays player of the game taking 21 snaps for 251 yards and two touchdowns on the ground and 3 thru the air.

The Texans were able to keep keep the Jets offense in check for most of the game, holding Thomas Jones to a mere 23 yards and Sanchez to 16 of 35 for 135 yards, 1 int. and no touchdowns. Though he did spread the ball around to 8 different receivers. The jets defense, other than Revis Island just seemed to be outmatched against the Texans speedy running back and quick recievers. Revis did pick off two balls intended for Andre Johnson and kept him quiet throughout the game, however.
