Post week 1 summaries here
Not a great start for Panthers/Falcons as a hurricane forced a postponement. Reports indicate the majority of activity will pass and the game will be replayed at a later date.
Very tight game early in the fourth, hopefully next game will be a good one also! (or me winning by a wide margin. Either way!)
Big Ben and the Steelers take there home opener against the Jaguars - 28-21 - What looked like to be a defensive battle quickly changed once MJD was sidelined with a high ankle sprain for the rest of the game. Big Ben came out and threw for 210 yards and was 17-20 with only 1 interception thrown. The MVP of the game was Willie Parker with 21 attempts for 154 yards. He dashed the Jags defense many times with the help of backup RB Rashard Mendenhall, which ran for 8 attempts 35 yards.
The Ravens get off to a solid start with a 45-7 win over the Browns(all be it a CPU controlled Browns). The Ravens pounded the ball rushing for over 250 yards. The defense allowed only a single TD in the final minutes of the game, but was only able to come away with 1 sack.
Rookie Adam Saint looked good in limited time catching 2 passes for first downs.
Le'Ron McClain was named player of the game rushing for 2 scores and 75 yards on only 8 carries.
The Ravens are now set to travel out to where their season ended last year as they match up with the defending champion Chargers in week 2
Eagles 24 at Lions 10
The ground game split carries between Grant and McCoy and they both had some limited sucess.
McNabb was solid all around hitting several different recievers.
Our D was tough overall with our draft picks making an impact. De'Adrian Virges played well in the secondary and Jackson Hailes held his own at DE netting his first NFL sack.
We tried to take away Megatron and were able to do so and played ball control on O.
We walk outta Detroit with a hard fought win.
A game dominated by the titans defense found the chargers down 20-7 with 2 minutes left in the fourth QTR. They scored they kicked away to the titans. On 3rd and 9th Collins made the biggest mistake of the game throwing a pick 6 which gave the chargers the lead. On the ensuing drive Collins was once again pick 6d sealing the game.
GG Nati your defense played great
Redskins (CPU) 0
The Cowboys D dominated this game with Anthony Spencer recording 3 sacks, Jay Ratliff recording 2 and Demarcus Ware with 1 for a total of 6 sacks for the Cowboys. Terrance Newman recorded a pick 6 as well and Spencer added a fumble recovery for player of the game honors.
No real bright spots on offense other than Romo having a high completion %.
The team with the worst record in the league last year beat the Seahawks in front of an excited Ray James Stadium crowd. Dont remember the score, but it was extremely close and Tampa shouldn't have won but Elbert Mack (a horrible CB) balled out of his mind, picking off Matt Hasselbeck 3 times, including a one handed gem to seal the win. Leron James, the #1 overall pick, had a modest game but did score the winning touchdown.
I can confirm that this guy "single" handedly beat me. GG BC
