Back to back conference games of the week? Whew...
INJURY REPORT: Forgot to mention in my game summary that my star RB Ben Cunningham got hurt last week and he's out for 3 weeks. With a broken finger though? Why is broken finger an injury that prevents you from playing on here?
Go to bed, Hammer.
Steamer43 hope your RB takes an extra week off.
Funny how Steamer has been in every single GOTW so far
lol I guess me and Hammer are having a re-match this week then?
Yeah but still.
I've had 2 GOTW's. Hammer has had 2. You Dylan Galt and Fever have had 1. I don't think they've even been a matter of opinion in any of the weeks, the combined win total of the two teams selected was way beyond any other games.
Holy shit, Temple just gave me alll I cound handle. Had to come back and win on a 37 yard FG as time expired.
Temple was up 29 to 7 in the 3rd quarter before we made our comeback. Temple d linemen were rude all game and ignored my oline, sacking Spencer Keith 5 times (3 given up by 4* true freshman OT McDuffie) for -63 yards and holding my ground game to 3 ypc. Sr WR Tyshone Goode had a monster game catching 7 for 205 and 2 long TDs. He stepped up and showed SR leadership when it was needed.
Their return man is 5'5 and 99 ovr and I don't know how we kept him from scoring, but he avg 27.1 a kick return and had over 200 return yards. Thankfully, my D was able to step up and force some turnovers in the second half to put me back in it. 4* true freshman CB Adrian Foster led the D with 2 timely 4th quarter INTs.
POTG: WR Tyshone Goode
Could have been Adrian Foster but he whiffed on that 5'5 return man several times.
Kent moves to 8-1 and will look to spend the upcoming bye week preparing for their Wagon Wheel showdown with Akron.
It feels good being the only one to beat Dylan so far
It feels good that that makes you feel good.
but Fever beat me last year
Steamer43 How is NBA2k12? I'm really tempted to buy 1 of NBA2K12, FIFA 2012 or Madden 2012.
^ This. I enjoyed 2k11 but didn't dive in. I keep hearing good things about this one so I'm curious about your answer too.
That was a hell of a game and my avatar is still that TD catch for the win.
I meant this season. Obviously.
2K12 is great IMO. It has a different feel than 2k11 but still the same basics. Fixed a lot of player's shots as well as faces/tattoos. Also a lot of classic teams added which adds some more replay value. Haven't seen any lag online. I'm going to be putting a lot of time into this game for sure. Loving the gameplay and how well they have the players down.
2K11 was the first bball game I really got into since College Hoops (I was top 100 on leaderboards only using Fresno State and went to the final 64 in the tournament to go to the IRL final 4). I had a tough time adjusting to 2k11 and had trouble dealing with the fact that I wasn't as good as I used to be and didn't really get into it untill the NBA playoffs I started playing A LOT. But only played in unranked games with my friends and My player mode. My player mode is pretty damn cool and got some major upgrades this year. Makes NCAA's road to glory look like dog shit, and thats still giving ncaa too much credit. Haven't even tried association mode but hoping to get in the online association here on TSO.
My advise- don't buy Madden. Basically the same experience as NCAA except for the accuracy of player features. I haven't played madden much at all. NBA 2k and FIFA are the two best sports games IMO and I'm not even really into soccer.
SJSU - 33
WMU - 21
DirtycashDylan HOW THE FUCK IS A B- OVR WMU TEAM IN THIS DYNASTY?
San Jose State went to the ground game and churned out a W against conference foe Western Michigan to become bowl eligible for the first time under Coach Blonde. The Spartans rode the legs of David Freeman in the first half, where he carried it 13 times for 79 yards and a TD before a concussion knocked him out of the game. But backup Ina Liaina carried the workload quite well in the 2nd half, with 26 carries for 119 yards and 2 TD. The Spartans controlled this game from the beginning, with WMU's only scores coming on a kickoff return for a TD, a TD off a 20 yard field thanks to an INT by Dasmen Stewart, and the final drive of the game where they went 5 wide every play.
Looks like it will once again come down to the last game of the year to decide this division with hammerhead1010 instead of Redd.
If you guys get NBA2k I may have to as well.
