Did you notice that Mike Miller committed to Florida, also. Very funny, indeed.

    UGLY, UGLY, UGLY
Badger barely make it past Iowa
The Badgers offense came out of the gates flat, on the opening drive Jared Abbrederis dropped a pass and McEvoy over threw a reciever 3 times. The only thing that kept the drive moving was the run game which eventually sputtered. Iowa immediatley drove the ball down and put up six points. Abbrederis proceeded to drop two more passes to bring his total for the game to 3 before halftime. Tanner McEvoy only had nine (9) incompletions for the game, besides the drop by Abbrederis, McEvoy was wildly inconsistant throughout most of the game. Coach Cieske contiplated replacing McEvoy at halftime but decided to give McEvoy the chance to improve. In the second half the Badgers stuck to the ground game. They were eventually able to put the ball in the endzone with 5:14 remaining in the game on a 1 Yd James White TD run. The Badgers defense kept them close in this game, there may not have been any tournovers but the Badgers did rack up 4 sacks.
    Tanner McEvoy 11-20 110
    James White 21-105-1
    Melvin Gordon 8-40
    Pat Muldoon 4Tkl 3Tfl 3sacks

Thought i'd change it up this week with a photographic recap. There's also a sick Miller juke for a TD on the dynasty wire.

Carlos Hyde muscles his way into the endzone for his first of two scores

Devin Smith makes a fantastic one-handed grab

Also to clarify the restart ... I give a few of my players different sets of gear for home/away games. I realized that I forgot to switch my guys' equipment to 'away' before the kickoff and figured I'd just back out rather than have it bug me all game. I know, I have a problem :watching:

Yeah, it's been crazy. I almost gave that one away. Was probly a little too drunk to be playing. Makes it more fun, but I could use a stress-free easy win at some point.

It did. Although when I was in school there, we usually got at least a little snow each winter. Most year's it was just a dusting, but I do remember one real snow while I was there, but never at a game. And Fayetteville is pretty hilly on and around campus, so my little rear wheel drive truck was not worth much.

    SUPERMAN!
    DeVante.jpg
DeVante Harris with the full extension!
UTEP puts up a good fight early but can't keep up 49-24
The Miners went toe to toe with The Aggies for the first quarter and a half of the game, trading TDs while their QB, Jameill Showers started 10 for 10 passing. It wasn't until a drive late in the second that the Aggie D was able to stop them. DeVante Harris, pictured above, made a statement breaking up a sure TD pass and forcing a field goal. A&M would score their 4th TD of the game after the defensive stop and would not look back. 28-17 A&M at half.

In the second half the ball control offense and the defense did their job, outscoring UTEP 21-7. Showers still had a great day passing, throwing for 308 yards, more than Johnny Manziel, but after the defensive stand at the end of the first, he lost his invincibility. Manziel was very good this week as well, throwing for 286 and 3 TDs while breaking off a few HUGE runs getting 181 yards and 2TDs on just 7 carries. That's what UTEP gets for keying on Ben Malena who got stuffed a few times early before making up for it with big runs in the second half before giving way to his backup.

    Stats:
    Manziel: 286, 3TDs, 1INT. 181 rushing with 2 TDs
Malena: 75 yards and 2 TDs
Mike Evans: 6 for 135 and 1 TD

Sure, they are tough as shit.

Their O-Line will run you over and whoever they have at RB (Yeldon was hurt against Arkansas) will get a decent amount of yards.

The key is to stop AJ McCarron. When I played them in the first incarnation of Chomps I picked off his first pass and he was cold the rest of the game. If he gets hot like he did the second time I played him, he is almost unstoppable. His O-Line is good enough to keep him from getting pressured too much so your guys will have to cover and hope to limit his yards.

On offense, you will need to score points. I kept up with them early, but if you turn it over or let them get up by two scores you are in trouble. I wanted to run the ball and control the clock, but their LBers are really good and they stuffed me on a lot of drives.

Not sure if you want to throw it all day and try to outscore them or keep the ball away from them.

Just hope AJ doesn't get too hot.
