What. The. Eff. So many recruits with me as heir only option, showing 98-100%, and they just won't pull the trigger.

New Mexico wins again! tops UNLV in dramatic fashion 25-22

it was an ugly game for sure, being 16-5 at half. UNLV QB was a scrambler and it was big play or bust when he took off. The Lobos were able to stop him behind the line multiple times but he still made his plays. with 2 minutes to go, Enea drilled a 52 yard go ahead FG to give NM a 17-16 lead. but it didnt take long with some big scrambles and UNLV found its way right into FG range and eventually scored with 38 seconds to go. but a failed 2 point conversion kept it 22-17. Now with 3 TOs and a minute, the Lobos went to work.
    quick short pass... TO
risky pass complete for 23 yards... hurry up
    sack... TO
    pass knocked down
    sack! ...TO
now 30 seconds, no TO and facing 4th and 23
Walton does the impossible and finds Jordan Taylor past the defense! nearly underthrown but just enough to get over the defender who attempted a diving stop but failed and Taylor finishes it off for a 61 yard TD!

UNLV couldnt do anything with the 22 seconds left and the Lobos move to 4-5 to match the win total of each of the last 2 seasons.

Walton trew for 279 yards but only completed 39% of his passes while taking 6 sacks. In Thompsons first game back from injury, he looked good but not 100%. Still a decent day. Jordan Taylor came up huge with 134 yards and the TD on multiple big plays while the consistent big man Chad Green got his 100+ yards and TD. DE Dick Hugine will be credited with 4 sacks on the day while the playmaker freshman Carlos Horne recorded a sack in the endzone for a safety. Enea drilled all 3 FGs, all from 48+ yards. Already well on his way of making himself a legend around this campus

I meant to come back and do a full write-up but got busy watching the Penn State coverage and then went to bed.

It was good to avenge last season's loss to Galt and FAU. I felt like I dominated the first half, but his red zone defense was stifling, and after two trips inside the 20 I only came away with 6 total points. In the second quarter I caught him in a blitz and housed a 60 yard HB screen to go up 13-0. Felt like I was in control but he put together a nice drive and scored just before halftime. So halftime yielded only a 13-7 lead. We both managed two touchdowns in the second half, and his two point conversion late cut it to 30-22. I was able to recover the onside kick and pick up a couple of first downs. Nearly broke one for another TD but was brought down at the 2, and just kneeled the clock out. Great game johngalt11.

Two telling stats. Galt rushed about 20 times for about 30 yards. Some of that was sacks, and his HB averaged 3.4 ypc. Meanwhile my HB carried 26 times for 226 yards, 108 coming after contact.

Galt being 0-4 on deep balls where he had my secondary toasted was another big factor.

Good game buddy, you played well. I was going crazy on that screen pass because I felt like I had it read but instead of a pick 6 for me I over ran it and it went the other way for you.

Yeah when I watched the replay it was really close. There was another one like that too where I hit a TE in the left flats that could've been a pick-6. That was when it was 7-13 and would've given you the lead. Oh well. I'll take it.

Good game Crumb. I'm heading out the door but it was 24-6 until a couple of long TD's run's late blew it open.
