Week 10 saw the San Diego Chargers playing host to the Denver Broncos in a game that both teams desperately needed to win. The Chargers had not won a game since their week 1 win over the Texans and the Broncos were fresh off a bye week following a 5 game losing streak. This was a classic chess match type of game as both teams were evenly balanced in their strengths and weaknesses. The Broncos had the upper hand in the passing game on both offense and defense. QB Brock Osweiler had a terrific game for the Broncos throwing for 291 yds 2 TDs and 0 INTs a much better performance than San Diego's Philip Rivers 185 yds 2 TDs 2 INTs. The Chargers would show their strength on the ground as HB Ryan Mathews came up with 99 yds on 21 carries and the Chargers defense held the Broncos to only 41 total yards on the ground. The final two minutes of the game were the most exciting as the Broncos were sure to tack yet another loss on the Bolts when Matt Prater nailed a 32 yard FG to put the Broncos ahead 17-14 late in the 4th quarter. The Chargers were determined to turn their fortunes around though as QB Philip Rivers was able to forget about the two INTs he had already thrown and led a drive down field eating up the remaining time and hitting WR Malcolm Floyd for the TD with only :16 remaining thus leading the Bolts to a dramatic much needed victory. Great game Phenom it wasn't the prettiest game for either one of us but it was a classic none the less. Looking forward to our week 15 match-up in Denver, if it's anything like this one it will be a great one.
