    UTEP 48 Rice 0

Well it was a rainy day in Texas and it had major effect on the Rice players not much from the Miners. The Miners were just getting lucky breaks all day catches that were overthrown many broken tackles but hey I'm not complaining. The Rice QB wasn't very accurate as he overthrew he receivers almost every play. Carson Meger of UTEP threw for 166 yards 1 TD and 2 INT's. Joe Baynard ran for only 86 yards. UTEP had 364 total yards compared to Rice's 164. UTEP takes on ECU next week.

UCF moved the ball at a better pace, but Tulsa's defense gave them a tough time all game. UCF is 8-1 with big conference games left vs. Southern Miss, ECU, and UTEP.

    Houston Slips By UAB, 20-17

UAB came out of the gates strong scoring on their first drive, scoring on a quick pass in which WR Patrick Hearn broke free for a 70 yard scamper. After a long and successful drive, Houston would tie the game thanks to a 3 yard rush by Bryce Beall. Houston would extend their lead to 10-7 going into halftime after nailing a 35 yard field goal as time expired. Both teams battled it out and held each other to a field goal each. Houston then took a ten point lead when Beall broke into the endzone after another long, successful drive. With a few minutes left on the clock, QB Bryan Ellis and his offense drove down the field, and would cut Houston's lead down to 3 thanks to a 5 yard run by Pat Shed. But it was too little too late, and Houston would hold on to the victory.
