Giants Soil Niners 28 - 6 San Francisco, CA - The New York Giants were looking for answers after coming off of back to back losses at the hands of Miami and New England. This week, they traveled to the west coast to take on the 49ers of San Fran. With the return of Ahmad Bradshaw and Jonathan Goff, this team was ready to go. On the first play of the game, New York set the tone. Alex Smith and the 9ers ran a play action and CB Terrell Thomas picked off the pass and took it all the way to the paint, giving NY a 7-0 lead early. On the next offensive drive for the 49ers, Smith broke loose on a scramble, but dived forward and lost control of the football, turning it over and giving New York the ball in great field position. The NYG defense would irritate Smith and the 49ers offense all game long, forcing 6 total turnovers. The Giants offense would cruise behind the legs of Ahmad Bradshaw, who had a huge day in his return to the field with 123 yards and 3 TDs on 22 carries.
