    Week 10 Scores

Va Tech drops its second in a row, losing 41-38 to Georgia Tech in OT.

I can't begin explain this game... was down 28-0 at halftime. Had absolutely no answer for the triple option and their defense was everywhere. Came back to tie the game at 35 with just second left in regulation, only to have a wide open receiver drop a ball in the end zone in OT. Ga Tech converts on a long 3rd down and proceeds to punch it into the end zone on the triple option QB keeper.

I wish I could have a replay of the dropped pass, but I'm getting a "highlight not available" message.

In happier news, VT lands the top SS recruit in the country, 5* Kyle Dixon. Dixon was also heavily considering Auburn.

Tough loss to take, Georgia Tech is sometimes cold, and you run all over them, and sometimes the triple option is unstoppable.

At least one of us will be able to stop the losing streak with next week's game.

Arkansas beats South Carolina 34 to 27. The game was close and a great show by Ryan Mallett and Stephen Garcia. Mallett had a school record 409 yards passing and 2 TD's. Garcia had 319 yards and 2 TD's. Arkansas had the lead the whole game and wouldn't let SC make the comeback. Great games by two Arkansas WR's. Joe Adams had 7 catches for 151 and Jarius Wright had 124 yards and a TD.

The Hogs are now 10-0. The first ten win season for them since the 2006 season. The Razorbacks are in the National Championship hunt and need to get past LSU and the winner of the east to have a chance to play for it all.

Boston College 17-3 over Wake Forest.

The Boston College Eagles knew it would be a tough battle in Vanderbilt and they were right. The team barely survived a 17-3 contest with both team's defenses putting on a solid display.

Thankfully for BC their defense played a little bit better, with the biggest play of the game being an interception by SS Dominick Lagrande in the Wake Forest end zone. Had the pass connected it would have been a 17-10 ballgame with plenty of time to play. Wake Forest QB Ted Stachitas was picked off a second time as well and finished 8-20 in the game.

Eagles' QB Mike Marsovetra played a solid game, and led the team to a 55% conversion rate on 3rd downs. He finished 11-17 for 195 yards. There weren't many big passing plays all day, as Wake Forest Corners shut down the BC receivers. WR Colin Larmond only caught 4 passes for 80 yards on the day.

HB Montell Harris was named player of the game with his 128 yards and 2 TD on 17 carries. The biggest of which was a run up the middle for 50 yards.

Next week BC plays Duke in what should be an easy matchup. They need a W to make them Bowl Elligible.

Wake Forest won't be bowl eligible this year

After dropping their 7th loss of the year, Wake Forest will not be playing in any bowl games this year. Boston College won out against the Deacons today 17-3. Like most of Wake Forest's games this year, they show glimpses of how good of a team they could be, but fail to capitalize when they need too. After the game Coach Spud was asked if there was going to be some QB controversy after another poor performance by Stachitas. He replied "There will be none at all. There's going to be a new QB taking snaps next Saturday. Stachitas will be lucky to still be enrolled in classes by then!"

On the other side of the ball, Boston College played very well and were able to capitalize on the few mistakes that Wake Forest's defense had. BC's defense was also able to shut down all aspects WF's offense and their red zone defense was phenomenal getting an interception and forcing Wake Forest to kick a field goal.
