Utah recovers from sloppy first quarter hangover, win 49-21
Utes get tune up before critical matchup against Washington
a Utah had lost two straight going into their matchup with the Washington State cougars. And it certainly looked like they were suffering some ill effects in the first quarter as multiple Ute turnovers led the Cougars to a 7-0 lead. But after an irate Coach Baron lashed out at his team, the Utes exploded in the 2nd for 28 points, as a fired up Jon Hays threw two touchdown passes, rushed for another, and led a long drive that was capped off by RB Byron York.
The Utes would not let off the gas, scoring another three touchdowns in the 3rd quarter to put an end to any hopes for the Cougars.
But as Baron said after the game, "We have got to shore up our tackling if we want to have any shot against JFace's Huskies."

    Beavers Win & Lose
In a very tough home game the Oregon State Beavers were able to hold on and win another conference game. The win came with consequence as starting RB Malcolm Agnew would exit the game in the second quarter. Reports would come out later that he would miss 5 weeks due to back spasms. Very early in the game OSU would strike with a great pass from QB Sean Mannion to WR Jordan Bishoph. ASU's FS took the outside WR, leaving Bishoph wide open. Once he caught it, no one would get close to tackling him.
It would not take long for ASU to recover and score of TD of their own though. On a beautifully setup screen to WR Jamal Miles for the 43 yard TD. The blocking was so good that Miles only had to make one person whiff and once he did it was over. From the second quarter on it was all defense but right before halftime Beaver K Trevore Romaine kicked a 21 yard FG to put them up 10-7 at halftime.
The second half was intense with every possession getting more precious as the game went on. OSU and ASU were in a struggle to the finish. K Tyler Romaine did his part as he kicked two more FGs (40, 20) in the 3rd Quarter. Almost midway through the 4th, Mannion made a costly mistake. A mistake that could have costed them the game. While trying to convert on a 3rd Down Mannion stared down his WR and SS Kevin Ayers read it like a book. WR Markus Wheaton did not even stand a chance to getting to this one and once Ayers picked it off he was in the endzone a few seconds later. This put the game within two points. The Beavers would make a 4th Down stand and just kneel out the clock for the victory.

    Epic Defensive Battle in Hollywood!
The Trojans managed to come out on top in this after an epic defensive battle 13-8 on Saturday. Both teams would prove that their defense is strong and its not all about the offense in the PAC12. Th USC defense would only allow 188 yards of total offense and Oregon only allowed USC 253 yards of total offense. Turnovers killed Oregon as Bryan Bennett threw 3 interceptions. POTG was Matt Barkley throwing for 205 yards, 1 touchdown and completing 11 out of 19 passes.
In the 1st quarter both teams would score a FG. USC would score first and then Oregon would tie it up before going into the 2nd quarter. In the 2nd quarter both USC and Oregon would score another FG and go into half time tied up at 6 all. In the third quarter USC kept making plays on offense but would be stopped on 4th and gold a few times. Neither team would score in the third quarter. In the 4th quarter USC would finally get an offensive touchdown after giving up a safety to the Ducks Barkley would throw a TD to WR Marquise Lee on a slant route on 3rd and goal. The Trojans would hold strong and not allow Oregon to move the ball for the next series and intercepted a pass with roughly 1 minute left to end the game USC 13 - Oregon 8. GREAT GAME Danthraxxx I love defensive games like this.

Wildcats Run Out of Gas Against Bruins
In Week 10 UCLA hosted the Arizona Wildcats, and first year coach Rich Rodriguez and his spread option offense. An offense that typically gave the Bruins fits, this time would be led by QB Matt Scott. The Bruins coming off the heels of a near upset in Pheonix against the Sun Devils.
The Bruins, led by Freshman(RS) QB Brett Hundley would get on the board first with a field goal, to be answered rather quickly by Matt Scott who connected to Garic Wharton from 27 yards out with 3 minutes left in the first. A minute and a half later, on route to a career day, Jerry Rice Jr would take one in off a throw from Hundley for 50 yards. That would nearly do it for the Bruins in the first half, as the second quarter started with back to back Arizona drives ending in a field goal and then a touchdown, this time to TE Michael Cooper. With 44 seconds left, the Bruins got on the right side of the field to allow Hundley to hit Joseph Fauria from 6 yards out to tie it up 17-17 at the half.
That was it, as the second half adjustments kept the Wildcat offense in check, while Brett Hundley stayed hot being able to connect to Jerry Rice Jr once again, and another time to Devin Fuller to start the fourth. A Ka'imi Fairbairn field goal would be the last score of the game, 4 minutes left in the fourth.
    Final Score :
    UCLA 34 - 17 Arizona
    Player of the Game :
UCLA WR Jerry Rice Jr - 8 catches, 200 yards receiving and two touchdowns
